G90 - low hours: $3200

http://cgi.videogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?projcrta&1192979655&class&3&4&

Only has a small problem with an itty bitty little board that I am absolutely PRAYING AND HOPING someone has a spare for! In the seller's words:

"was working fine - then the video started to get .... well ... squiggly is the best description

all three tubes are the same ... happens on all inputs and menus as well."

Seemed like a really nice bloke.

I understand that under section 12, paragraph 9 - I am not meant to nominate myself for an "You suck" award, but I am hoping that everyone will overlook the small, minor, hopefully irrelevant issue of a very tiny fault and pronounce that

"I SUCK!"

Apparently it only has 300 hours on it. I organised with him that he crates it up and I'll have Curt's freight company pick it up for me Smile

Do not count your sucking before it hatches. Let us see pics of a working PJ before taking your place in the Hall of Suck. Thumbs Up

Congrats! You have bigger balls than me. I wouldn't make any purchase from a zero rated seller, especially one that involves that much money.

But it will probably work out! Thumbs Up

I hope it works out for you because that would be a very good deal. My guesss is it will cost you close to half of purchase price to get it down under.

His PayPal was verified premium with a lot of transactions behind it. Email address traced correctly.

Besides which, with PayPal, if it doesn't arrive/arrives damaged (beyond what was mentioned in the sales 'brief') I can contact my bank and do a charge-back. That is, if PP don't help - but usually they do.

That's one of the reasons I always pay by card - chargebacks protect you from fraud 100%

By the way, if anyone thinks they know what the problem is or if they have the relevant spares (and want to sell them to me) just let me know Smile

Kind regards

Shipping is approx $500 Smile Well, that's what it cost me for a Barco 1209 from Curt.

Kind regards

As the official (self-promoted) Chairman of the CRT Hall of Fame, un-officially known as the "You Suck" club. Let me say that there are strict criteria for club membership.

Simply owning a G90 is not enough, you are on your way but you do NOT suck.

Sorry Sad

So what does a man have to do to suck?

It wasn't the owning of a G90, it was the amazing price that I got it for. I'm going to completely ignore anything resembling common sense and hope that the problem is an easy fix. I know the board in question costs around $1000, so assuming that's the problem, I'm pretty sure that I suck.

Stealing the G90 for 3200 + shipping makes you a low down dirty rat.

Son of a .....

But to suck, we need to see photographic evidence of a superior CRT setup.

Then you can suck. So get to work! Thumbs Up
