I think there may be two BBs being discussed here - Blockbuster and Best Buy. Isn't Blockbuster Blu-ray exclusive now?

Blockbuster has claimed they will be exclusive in renting BDs at their brick and mortar stores. Online they will continue to rent both. Good luck finding a Blockbuster B&M that actually rents HD!

I'd be OK with a free BD player. At least I'd have the satisfaction of knowing Sony lost their ass on the transaction. Oh, wait... I could buy a PS3 and accomplish the same thing. But, then I'd have to buy something from Sony. Never mind. Smile

For what it's worth, I was at Best Buy last week, and the BD and HD-DVD displays (both HW and SW) were very comparable.
