You shouldn't be! This is actually an excellent (snappy & clever) movie and the critics agree - it scores 80% at rottentomatoes.

Actually i agree, far from being a bad movie i think its a well written adaptation of Jane Austens "Emma".
It just seems weird that i like it as much as i do. My wife gives me strange looks when i watch it.
Truth be told, i like many of those 80's 90's type films.
Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller, Cant buy me love, and of course, my favorite.... Better off dead!

Bad movie. Thin plot, bad acting, movie made no sense. As a 16 year-old at the time though I loved it.
The Wraith. You just gotta love Skank.

Better Off Dead - Really enjoyed that! First half (including opening credits) are hilarious. Cusak's 'family' sets the bar for dysfuntional. Loses some steam in 2nd half, which contains one of my favorite Howard Cosell imitations.

I have a grey 1986 Daytona Turbo C/S. Love the movie "The Wraith" The Wrath car was a Chrysler concept with the same drive train as the Daytona.

Cool link Ron. I looked at the Wraith movie screen shots and I had a thought. This is a little off topic here but did you ever notice how many HOT cars squeal their tires when they spin out on a dirt road?

Yeah... On "The Dukes of Hazard" tires were squealing all over the dirt roads... My 6 yr old daughter thinks the Dukes are the greatest thing in the world... I have watched all 7 seasons at least twice..
LOL...
I have actually done it once.. Solid Gravel road... Ratty old 1972 Roadrunner 400 big block 4spd car...
We had been on a mission for sometime to do the tire squealing on dirt road thing... A day or two after a good rain and a nice hard packed dirt and I can assure you it is very possible
Ya just have to sit in one spot long enough to clear out the loose rocks and stuff..
It also helps if the tires are extra hard... Ya know ... like they get after they have been overheated a couple times...

POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl was a *fabulous* movie. Great story, tight script, hilarious situations & characters, and it all worked great.
POTC: Dead Man's Chest was OK but definitely didn't live up to the original IMHO.
POTC: At World's End was a confused mess. 16 different plotlines going in every possible direction, all kinds of confusing situations and references, and mostly lame humor. My wife whispered to me at one point "I'm not following this very well." I said "There's a good reason for that." What a shambles. | Plus I didn't like the end of "At World's End". My son keeps telling me there's going to be #4. HMMM???

OH! Here's a couple more
Space Balls
Darn! the title escapes me. The earth gets blown up for an intergalaxic highway. The dophins say "Thanks for the fishes." as they fly away. A fairly new movie based on an old, classic sci fi book.
Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Evens.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy......it's out there.
Lemony Snickets......speaking of Jim Carey movies...
How about The Number 23.
Good lord! The female lead is saying, "Go ahead, kill me," knowing full well that he won't do it.
I'm just ready to stand up in the theatre, call out, "Well, you're killing me!" and then walk out. I left quietly a couple minutes later.

Get Shorty!
I hated ever moment of that movie til i walked out. My wife wanted to see it so i played video games in the lobby til it was done.
For that matter, EVERY John Travolta film is a wast of time. (except pulp fiction)
