I had Craig over twice, once before I had my first Marquee. he is a Mitsubishi expert and that looked AWESOME!!!!!
So when i got the Marquee i had the red tube go out on the mitsu. The repair shop messed it all up and Craig came back and did both over a two day period. He spent a good 12-14 hours on the marquee.
I talked to him the other day and if I can not dial it in I might have him have a try at it. it be his first blend. but to be honest I have to say once both PJ are measuing each shade of grey with the same Gamma and even RGB values there will be no blend zone visible at all. Right now i have the blend zone invisible 90% of the time up from about 75 %. With each session
I get closer. and this set up I am using no gamma at all from the Lumagens yet. Just one bump up on each Moome card.
The i1 pro worked great when i had one single PJ up and tested it out, that was on the marquee 8500 test bed i had on the floor in the theater. I got great results, for some reason now i just cant get proper readings. I sent it back for the LED calibration tables to be added for an enhancement. I think they should have checked it then, but it came back reading the same way. Spectracal is suppose to get back to me on their forum, no word yet.

Well if you are saying that you measure D6500 or close to it on a 80-100 IRE window and it is obviously not white, then it must be the test equipment. You can be quite a bit off the mark and still "percieve" what you're seeing as white even though it's not.
Is there a forum member close buy with their own equipment that can confirm it for you?

I was thinking of asking Alan Gouger if he has an i1pro I could use. Bob Stephan sent me his Display 2 probe but it is a few years old and they do not keep well after a year.
I'll try his in the mean time but filter type probes loose reliability over time where spectrometers do not, well are not suppose to , I think mine might be the one in a few thousand that do.
And its not only the whites but all IRE's down have a greenish or lean to brownish as I go lower in IRE. So it looks like i push red in the low end and push green in the high end.

hi nashou have you tried measuring with just 1 pj turned on, read out the grayscale with the i1 then write down those numbers turn off the pj and turn on the other pj and try to get the same readings.
maybe the i1 isnt good enough for measuring 2 pj`s at the same time, maybe its the sweeping of the scanlines from 2 pj`s that interfere for a good readout.
have you tried different scanrates and then measure the grayscale.
72 hz might be too much the i1 might do a better job at 50hz or so, i am just guessing here but i would definitely try that.

My son purchased Avatar last week. I had it on my setup and it's one of the strangest movies I've seen so far. It's an entirely different image type from anything I've seen before..
However, I'm looking forward to capturing a few shots tonight from my Super 9500..

Studio; Really nice looking shots. Geometry and color look very good. Is your machine color filtered?

Joatmon; Color looks pretty good. Highlight look a little roasted - try a stop less exp with the camera and see what happens. What PJ are you using?

Thanks, I'll try that.
PJ is a low hour Cine 7 with a Runco label (late model 70x chassis with P16 tubes and color filtered lenses). 1080i from PS3 via Fury2.
edit: P16, not P14
