My moome card won't do 4:2:2 anymore. I'll see if it's something I can correct on this end first. And I'm not sure why it got a little pixelated when I switched the VIM, or it could be the camera because I didn't notice it on the screen. There is definitely no sharpening or enhancements going on in this setup. Plus the bad glycol is causing a lot of blooming especially on the green CRT (LCP).
Anyway, we're now running a near 300mhz video chain in my Marquee, and I have yet to do anything to either focus or convergence. Being a little lazy considering I'm still switching boards. That'll all change in the next couple of weeks because I will then have changed out the glycol and dialed this beast in for absolute best image. The covers will also go on it. I'm done..

You are never done. Instead of posting screen shots I want to see a shot of the case back on the projector

Replaced the glycol in the green CRT. Now using a cheap, so cheap Blu-ray player that it only has an HDMI and DC connector on the back. Will be demonstrating the need for an expensive Blu Ray player, or to present an idea who much better an expensive Blu-Ray player could be.
I got the projector on blast to show the green is not blooming as it had...

Spent the past hour dialing the focus in and working on convergence. Will be getting back to this over the weekend, but for now, I've changed the glycol and finally tweaked the focus and convergence. New cheap Blu-Ray player and using my best version of the mods. I hope these images put a smile on Wolfman's face..

Show his hair (the right side of the scene). And now that you've entered with a comparison, show one of the other shots, that are not so close-up and do it at the same size..
Close-up shots are always very subjective. It's the entire image that would be the rule with HD images. Because HD is the ability to resolve the entire image front to back..
Background...and be mindful that I'm using a $39.00 Blu Ray player..

Oh and before I forget.
You guys are so adamant to have a shoot-out, when technically it is near imposssible to fairly pull off. But I'll let you continue to post your shots, because for some reason it's very important for you to sell your mods by degrading mine. Something no other competiture has ever done on the forums, and why AVS kicks people off when they do it. If a comparison is done, its should be done by a third party. But again, in this case, it's really DUMB to even think it's possible, when almost everything is diffeent on both ends.
Here's something I hope you could rember, and they are the rules according to the Original Shoot-outs that were done years back. They would havee to be shot on the same screen, using the same supplied single source. When you can meet those requirements, it 's only then that you can consider anything FAIR.
Here's the backside of this that a lot of people don't see. The challenger on this ALWAYS wait for the other perosn to post first...when they do, the challenger gets to do up varyous shots and can even software tweak them. And after they feel their shots look better, they would then poist it on the forum.
Or, they would post a low grade shot to pull get the person to post, and from there they would start posting better shots.
To me, this is all very juvenile, and why I don't participate in it. If not that it cannot be technically done fairly for the above reasons, why even bother.
Just try to sell your mods without slandering and degrading someone else using tricks. Because anything other than a technical means of evaluation, is a trick.

There is no need for a contest I am happy as you so leave it at that. The reason I posted this was it's from my 29.00
LG black friday bluray that is 3 years old. It's not the player.

Still post some shots showing background detail. Look at my Troy shots. It would be nice to finally see something other than close up shots. And when I get back I'll show you how easy it is to post a better looking shot based on what's already posted
Do the Troy shots. Let's see how well your setup handles them
