Seeing the before and after shots with the old vs new glycol is amazing, I would say if anything, I notice a lot more detail with the new glycol.

Makes me think I should probably dump the glycol in the XG1100 and put new in, half of it is probably water anyway, I've already bled the CRT's twice since I bought so it couldn't hurt right?

Excellent screens Thumbs Up

I put in each CRT, 16 oz of glycol and the rest Distilled Water. Straight glycol is a little too thick for the resolution I'm running.

If you're ever up this way come give it a look and see. There are no scalers or processors. It's a straight from the source setup. I'm using the focus coils from a Barco 909, and finally got them tuned to the set this past week or so. So now it's really sharp. That and it's video chain makes me happy every time I look at a projected image..Very Happy

I'll certainly take you up on your offer, hopefully in a few months. I know my setup skills pale in comparison to yours but I really love the image a crt projector displays. I've redone my 1209s setup a few times and it gets better looking each time around. I'm a long way from where I want it to be but that's what make our CRT hobby so much fun.

You must remember not to take screenshots of movies filmed with digital cameras or movies shot in 3D, even if you use the 2D version of the movie. Wink

Nice shots by the way, not very under exposed like many others in here.

I got to honest with you when I say that you are putting me in an awkward position when you keep referring to MP via me lately. So let's easy up on the provoking stuff shall we. It's not nice to him nor me.

Thanks for the compliment though.

Now you show it like a daylight scene, but what happened to the black in the picture then?? You see now it is more gray and this is how it is with screenshots.

These pictures are better, but far from the detail and sharpness of my X500. But since the other tread got closed I will not post any here as it is the CRT screenshot tread, but I will post your two different shots of the same. If this gets be banned, so be it. Wink

Have a nice week! Very Happy

Just curious but is there any reason for the continued jabs at MP???? I'm sure the purpose of this thread is not to serve as a shootout between crt and digital projectors. We all get that you prefer digital projectors which is cool. As long as YOU enjoy what you see that's what important. Refrain from dirtying up this thread with your nonsense
