Awesome!
Mike, those shots are fantastic- the last one must be very impressive during play.

They do also look good on the screen. and I'm shocked of how much the camera is capturing.
This is one movie I've been trying to capture, that looks really good on the screen, but my camera fails in capturing it.

Now finished an 03 with mini boards, but this is a different version all together.
I should now see what these boards look like calibrated for once. I'll do that this weekend.

Mike.. Amasing screen shots.. Good you dont have a better camera, and the projector calibrated, perfect geometry and convergence.
No need to make the rest of us look like a joke.

I'm getting closer to putting the covers on my Marquee. So that means I've settled on what boards to leave in it, and also that I'm about done with doing anything else mod wise. And getting closer to actually wanting to see a movie on it..
I'm really done wit the mods. I've only been working on the version that are not for HT use. And I'm glad that they to are ready to wrap up. I think it's also safe to say that I can get a sharp image close to digital, and maybe better than a digital that looks more film like. But for sure, I doubt that there's a digital that would come close in naturalness and sharpness at the same time. And the version I'm wrapping up are so sharp and bright, you'll think you're watching a digital, but the low end performance will blow any digital far far away. Amazing what's visible once you remove the various levels of noise in these projectors. It's so much better, that my camera will even capture it. I'll post more on this in shots when I get around to calibrating it.
As far as background detail and being able to see things on walls and even the texture of what's on the walls everything in a room, stay turned. I can capture that even with my $99.00 Point and shoot..
So when I'm able to get around to dialing the projector in better, I'm looking at posting shots showing finer detail in both low end and over all image detail, better than both CRT and digital. And I'm making that claim, because i know you'll need a perfect low end and very linear low end to bring out those details, something the digital technology can't do yet, and CRT does not have the bandwidth, speed and noise floor to make happen. gamma is one thing, but if you ever looked closely at video linearity on the low end, that's when you're able the make all those things in the background Jump off the screen.
I just finished an 03 with the mini board switch mod, that also has the dedicated 14 volt power supply....
The video chain mods should be made available next month. But this last special version won't.

A few weeks ago the RED cable from the VIM to the NB went out on me (been using stock cables), so after getting everything ready for the final adjustments before the covers go back on my Marquee. I replaced all three of the cables to the NB's, and then also tightened the Focus.
I've finally gotten things were i want them tp put it all back together. The image far exceeds anything I could have expected. I'll do the geometry after I get the covers back on.
In all of this, I did also find out that the Moome card that I've been using has about thrice the bandwidth that it list. And it's also performs better than expected. So well, it was huge in my taking things further.
Full 1920X1080P /60hz - NO sharpness added anywhere. My camera is still in the same settings for years.

Yesterday my brother gave me a Panasonic DMP BD 30 Blu Ray player that he no longer use. I have and been using a Panasonic DMP BD60 for the past 3 years or so. The DMP BD30 of course is an older model. But to my surprise, it produces a better image once it was updated with the latest firmware. The image is way more defined than the DMP BD60. It's also a different color space based on the Moome card. The image is also brighter and punchier.
