The CRT display images of real life without comparison, the screenshot of PC is the Achilles' heel because it puts the light on the lack of bandwidth and geometry problems etc etc. For digital projectors is the opposite. I'm curious to see the CRT display all the small details of a screen of a PC. Who will accept the challenge?

Samsung BD6900-Moome-9500LC at 1080p/60 on a 92" Da-Lite. These are unretouched photos from a 7 year old Nikon Coolpix 9500 and I haven't done any greyscale or color calibration tweaking yet; this is from a fresh set up.

Yeah, the Radiance is definitely on my Christmas list! It will get rid of ringing and with the CMS and 72hz support will take the image to the next level. I just wish the would package the Mini with those features..

I purchased a 45 x 80 Da-snap screen with Da-Mat material (1.0 gain) about 8 years ago. Thought of upgrading at some point but not sure what the best option would be.

Wish I could post some nice sexy CRT screenshots, but my CRT isn't mounted yet so I have to use my crappy digital SXRD thing
Looking sweet though Nash and cliff!

How'd you like the movie? I haven't seen it or read the Ayn Rand 1957 book that it's based on but from what I understand the book's great but the movie sucked. Have you read the book?
Kal |
I'm reading the book now. it an over 700 page book so it be hard to capture all the greatness of the book in the film. I think this would have been better in a mini series type project. But I do like the film It captures the libertarian views of Rand's book fairly well but I think they could have done better to capture the "feel" of the book.
For the Transfer I think its up there with the best. You can not trust the reviewers for this one Kal as most have liberal views and this goes 180* the other way. But it is a great movie for CRT. Deep and dark scenes with beautiful nature scenes as well.
The cinematography is as good as any I have seen.

Still have to redo Zone contrast and also the right side of the Blend has a slight Green tint to it. Not sure why. I'll have to redo the base calibration once more and then the 125 point auto again. I think the probe got "tired" after two full CMS sessions or my second Meter correction in chromapure was off, I tried to do a meter correction using the left PJ's final RGBW for the new target points for the right PJ. I think the i1Pro was the issue as I left it powered up the whole time. For some reason it doesn't like that and then it over reads reds at the lower levels. Wish I had the PR650 back for this Job. Not sure if Tom got that probe to work with CP. But I am liking that 125 point calibration so far.
