Cool, I have "Meet the Robinsons" on BD. What's the time on that scene? I'll post that one too and you can compare them?
I don't have a scaler, so it will be 1080P 60.

The cartoon shots were short takes on a Blu Ray. Don't recall what Blu Ray, or time frame.
You want to compare, 1080P 60/ would be fine.

I'll do a 1080P 60 shoot-out.
I'll watch Meet the Robinsons tonight and see If I can find that scene. My new Sony BD mega changer does not do frame by frame well though. I'll get close as I can though............ Pucker up

Or, you could choose any of those flicks that has real people in them, like the Kong shots..... I'll stay at 72hz.

OK first things first. Somebody tell me how to post pictures this way. Or do I only have to know what size to re-size them to in order for the forum to handle them?
Then I'll post a list of the few BD's that I have. You post whatever you'd like me to match and I'll do it. I like CGI for showing off a projector but the choice is yours.

Choose your poison
Question. Do you think there is anything wrong with the BD version of Blade Runner?
I see banding in some dark scenes on the top and bottom of the screen. For me, it's only with that one movie.
Do you see it too?

No problem, I'll be busy until Sat. AM with work. That gives you 3 whole days to re-converge.

Some blend zone visible still since I still need to get color calibration done. For some reason I am having issues with either the probe or how I am doing it. I think its Me
So this is all done by eye, and trying to match two Pj's bye eye is not easy. I am pushing Blue somewhat. I'll try to work on everything this weekend if no family functions pop up.

If you're gonna do screenshots from movies, fix your damn v-height, Mike! Seriously, though I HATE incorrect geometry - it drives me CRAZY!

OK, SC. I'll try and do better the next time..
I noticed the sizing being off and never got around to fixing it. I keep saying I'll do it after I get everything finally ready and the theater finished, but at the same time, I should at least make sure they're better than what I've been posting.
Yep, that was really that bad.

ok , tried to calibrate with my i1 Pro but I must be doing something wrong. here is a pic of the left side calibrated to where it shows
30 and 80 ire perfect. but as you can see compared to the right side i did by eye(little more blue than should be) its not even close.
So i went back to the eye method. Here is a comparison from my previous shot where i know i was pushing blue on the high end. And then the new by eye calibration under it. I pulled blue out of it and spend more time matching both sides by eye again, not easy!!!
Not sure whats going on. I should have saved the calibration file in HCFR and Calman. they both read fairly close.
I'll try again and post those in the calibration forum. Its getting aggravating!!!!

OK, I know nothing about calibrating a blend but......... What would happen if you calibrated one perfectly (to the screen) then stick the sensor directly to the lens's of the calibrated one and catalog the intensities of each color. Then transfer those intensities to the second projector. In theory, they should come out the same.
Quite honestly, I would go digital before I went through all this horse dung.
My main fear is that if one in six tubes wears even a bit faster then the rest, all this time spent is for not. It will have to be done all over again.
I'll be whacking new lamps in a JVC RS35U before that happens

I understand what you mean Chip. However even though i am aggravated its more in the Probe than the calibration of the blend. I do it for the challenge and the Hobby aspect. And right now by eye its the BEST i have gotten it in the blend zone. its the actual color calibration of a single projector that has me stumped.
If i go by what the probe tells me everything looks yellow greenish. That is with 30IRE, according to the program, being very close to having all colors at 100% and 80IRE the same even though 80 IRE look's yellowish green. The 30 IRE to me at least looks a bit on the red side.
Something doesnt jive here with my method or the probe it self. I say its the Probe, putting up the 80 IRE and having it look pretty obviously yellowish green
when is should look close to white tells me the probe is not getting all the light it should.
I'll try again tonight after work. But right now its very watchable so I might just enjoy some movies I haven't watched yet before i mess up the closest i have gotten.
