Awesome detail in those shots Gary! I don't think anyone could get more out of an XG if they tried. I know I will never be able to touch this kind of quality with mine but you certainly inspire me to keep trying! Great work!

thanks dude
here is the problem though, all of them but the last post full are from the new moome HDMI card, the last post ones are from the older DVI card BUT.... with a HD-SDI Panny BD30 which is even sharper/cleaner than it's HDMI output
so we got sharper source with softer input card and softer source with sharper input card
what I need to do is get some up of a HD-SDI unit with the new Moome HDMI, I may faint before I upload them
I will work on that this week

thanks
the screen is 83x35, 2.40:1 Draper M1300 cineperm, 1920x800p output from DVDO VP50pro feeding moome 4:2:2, no scaling of 2.40:1 flicks
XG contrast on about 40

A few more...I gotta get the hang of this posting screenshots stuff. These are Blu-ray. BD-30 - HD Fury - RTC2200 - G70[/img]
How can I insert photos without the space consuming frame & file info?

to insertpics with out the frame thingy you need to put your pics on a hosting site like Photo bucket r simmilar. then you use "go Advanced" and paste your URL of where the photo is, i use my iWeb gallery on .mac and then you highlite the pasted URL and select the "Img" icon on top of the posting page here on the site.

nice shot b the way

I think I probably have at some point, hell I have invited most of these guys to come over and lend me a hand but no takers yet. No CRT love here in the Carolinas. Too bad I don't live in Virginia as that seems to be the hot spot for CRT these days.

windup your screenshots look pretty damn good, I see two things that will take it over the top, adjust your greyscale and do a perfect convergence then you will be getting there bro

Here are a couple of shots from my Sony VPH-1031Q (yes it is 20 years old, I found it for $60)
(I don't know why but they all look out of focus. Also, I have a bad burn on the blue tube but that doesn't seem to be visible in the pictures)

These are a bit more representative of the actual picture mine put out.
I have a bad burn on the blue tube.
Here is the focus on the red and green tubes
Combined red and green tube focus useing the built in test pattern
And the focus on the blue tube. I need to try focusing the electron gun, that is if it can still be focused.
The test image
Two more to show the focus.
