OK, I won't leave you hanging this time.
I've said this many times when it comes to screenshots; "These point and shoot cameras cannot capture what's really on the screen, they can only capture an idea of the image"
So here you go, the better my setup gets with resolution and speed, the more the camera will fail to reproduce what's on the screen. I now have an whole different respect for the LUG tubes, thanks to Barclay

What have you done Mike was the image ever really improved over the years? Or is it just a constant going up and down? And this was even with a former camera 
If I see any improvement I think there is a better lens somewhere in the camera or on the marquee and improved photographing skills.

Dude you are so comical, at least that's how your post come across, considering I had just posted on this a few post on this thread earlier about the ability of screenshots to capture what's really on the screen - check it out:

So how is it that you keep forgetting these proven and well known facts??
Anyway, and as you've reported in your praise report to me and what you also posted in that link on the other thread, in how pleased you were with the changes the mods have made to your setup. But then I notice you keep getting schizophrenic on me and posting otherwise. Not sure what you're trying to say when you constantly keep doing this, but for sure, I know of no one that says the Mods have not made an significant improvement on their setup. You evenb keep bringing up the wolf. Who by the way is not upset with me at all. Fact is, he knows that whatever problem he's having, if he's really having a problem at all. I will take care of that, and that's something he knows well. So beyond yourself if there is anybody who has not been pleased with the results, they should have let me know.
But of course, this does not include you. Because you not only went against me telling you to not work ion the boards yourself, you also took it upon yourself to involve someone else in your making them better. And then notified me that you had reverse engineered them and had made them better. So with that, you broke that support that I offer others. So if you're not pleased with the boards then I would suggest you go back to that person that helped you make them better than what I sent you. I forgot, you messed those boards up so bad you transferred some of the parts to other stock boards that I really had nothing to do with

Those shots and all that followed were using my third and latest version neck boards (pictured). They are a very special LUG only version. This version is a combination of what I was doing with my second latest version that was tuned for the LUG tube set. The very latest version includes the pin 7 GRID change that Barclay pointed out to me. This last version I call LIGHTENING. It got that name because of its 300mhz bandwidth, very low noise (first time at that bandwidth). And because of its exceptional Speed, I've name it LIGHTENING..
Now let me explain all that's involved with this particular set and what it brings to the screen. Its speed and 300mhz bandwidth performance both together makes for a nearly FLAT (not -3) bandwidth performance when using 1920X1080P either 60/72hz. And add that to the pin 7 upgrade that properly enables the LUG tube for its high-resolution capability, to include it's also tuned to the LUG.
The virtues of this speed and very clean bandwidth performance is the exceptional Low-End performance. But first remove looking for sharpness from your mind when you look at the shots I mentioned starting with Kong.. and go back and look at the Finer Black in those shots and how crisp and clear it is defined. Also look at the 5th Element shots and look at the deep black in it.. the ones with Chris Tucker, look at his mustache and eyebrows. Look at the villains black leather jacket. But here is the key to this. I've made these changes and have yet to touch any of the controls. That amazing low end is just there, and there without that precise black level setting that's normally needed.
And let me also throw in this nugget. The higher the bandwidth requirement, for instance for proper reproduction of FINER black on CRT @1920X1080P 60/72, you'll need a very fast video chain. The neck boards would really need an exceptional fast and better than -3 bandwidth rating. And to prove my point here post shots showing those same images. And see how well your PJ bring out those finer blacks.
A picture of my LIGHTENING Super fast Neck board - Note that it does not have an G2 wire on it, and it's already wired for the LUG tube. No pin lead to connect..

Yes, you have been very helpful. Especially explaining what the pin was for.
My plan is to spend more time with it because I'm thinking there should be a more precise resistor value for our purpose or 1080P. I'm also considering using a pot to vary the range during my testing with the generator. So far, what I have found out is the 330K that's already on the neck boards. Is not a good value for the resolutions we're using.
The LUG is a very intersting CRT for sure. I'll keep you informed on how things are going once I can get back to it. Right now I'm on a project that'll take another day or so.

So what is easy to see in all these shots is the dynamics or lack of with
the old mods vs the new mods. Anyone that thinks flat and 2 demensional looking is in denial
of what the new mods do just look
at the crt vs digital on avs the Jvc
is 2 demensional just like the old
Mp mods. I prefer the 3D look of
the new mods but I am not in denial
of how great these new mods are.
