Have I missed something is there supposed to be something wrong with these images? Why would you need to change anything?

The only scaling is using AAS or Active Area Scanning. So Its basically 1920x800p@72 hz for 2.4 movies.
That is basically All i have my theater set up for since the Blend scalers output 1056x800p each with a 192 pixel blend zone. So I really can only watch 2.4 aspect movies. For 1.78:1 I use my Oppo BDP's 1/2 zoom function which
reduces the tv-ones zoomed image ti fit the 1.78 content. I found its scaling is actually better for that specific purpose than my radiance XS's.
