There's nothing wrong with interlaced Very Happy

But wait, my next projector doesn't even accept interlaced NTSC/PAL signals 8)

Hey you said the BEST CRT!

But I guess you can live with the 909 aswell.

But isn't the 1209s/E close to the 909?

Well, if the 912 is the best crt... Probably not for normal HT work. I do not want to melt my screen! Laughing

Image-wise: yes, although the 909 should be a little better. But the chassis is soooo much better, especially the convergence and geometry controls, this time completely digital instead of part digital, part analog. There's also a lot of menus to fiddle with. Being a CRT nerd, the 909 is the right projector for me.
Very Happy

You would better have a celing that is really strong or a floor that is really soft.

And yes. We need LOTS of pics.

How did the 1209s/E end up? Or did you throw it out.

Very Happy

But a 909 is not heavier than a 1209s, though... And it actually looks much nicer.

Will take them when the PJ arrives! I will even take pics of some of the menus as I have never seen pics of them.

The 1209s is still here, and working because the MP modded boards have arrived yesterday. Did not have enough time to play with them, though... BTW, the MP modded boards will be used in the 909 later Thumbs Up

I will have to sell the 1209s. In fact, I probably already have a buyer. The 1208s/s I still had was also sold last week. Great, as I need the space now (and the dough) Smile

Regarding the other questions: I will *never* tell how much I paid for it, just that it was not as high as usual because I have ordered it without the tubes (I already have a set of very nice P19LUGs here) That was my luck, or otherwise I would never have bought the 909...

And of course, it is used. It should have 2500 hours on the chassis. That's absolutely not much...
