I think you are wrong because you can now actually see the pins going into and through the connectors. With the older style of the connector, you can hardly see anything...

By the way, I got ALL of this stuff from Mr. King (Conny Johansson). Only the 1209s and the P19LUG tubes were already in my possession
Thanks again for the great stuff, Conny! You made my dreams come true!

Enjoy your new projector Peter.

Fair enough....it's just not going to be too easy doing a tube swap with it ceiling mounted (not that you'll ever have too, what with those 'minty' Lugs you have)

I believe the 909 chassis is designed in such a way, that the tubes can be changed when it is ceiling-mounted...
By the way, did I mention the fact I also have a nice set of MP modded inputboards here? These are going into the 909. I have asked Mike about it and it's gonna work. If all goes well, this 909 will be much better than a stock one 8)

Some more pics.
The 909 with a lens on the green tube only. This was done to determine the distance from the projector to the screen, with the rasters almost touching the sides of the tube. Who needs the Barco lens program anyway?
A paper template with the drill holes marked, fixed to the ceiling:
It's hanging!
With the lenses mounted...
Let the setup begin!

A few screenshots @ 1080p/60Hz. I'm not yet satisfied with the picture so far but hey, it's just one day since it went on the ceiling!

Seeing the occasional top-o-the-line PJ wind up in a sufficiently appreciative HT hobbiests home reminds me of a favorite old joke (for the latter half of the punchline...)
What do you get when you cross a Donkey with an Onion?
A piece of ass that'll bring a tear to your eye!
Enjoy, and don't let the tears mess with your focus!

There's still lots to tweak indeed!
One question, for the Cine 9/909/919 owners: is it correct that there's no G2 setting anymore? The manual does not mention G2 at all and there's no G2 adjustment in the service menu.

Closer, closer.....
I agree w/ Kal. There's a bit of a green push. But it still looks nice.
