It is white artists foamboard, and it's only $17.00 (Can) for 48x96 !

i think it'll be a bit too reflective and hotspot on you.
try it and let us know.
Order a sample of Willsonart to compare. they will mail you a piece for free. its only 3.5inches by 5 inches but you will get the idea.

Several people have reported success in using foamboard as a screen.

Especially if you pick it up locally and handpick a piece without scrapes, smudges, or dents, etc

Before the big DW laminate discovery a lot of people where using Do-able 1/4 4x8 white vinyl panels from home depot. They run around 15 bucks a sheet U.S. give a nice picture without hot spotting. Looks a lot like a melamine sheet, so don't get them confused because melamine will hot spot. The Home depot SKU is 174-278 and it is called a White vinyl panel made by do-able products inc. model #63036. I used one for awhile with a barco 800 and was really impressed with it. I even got HD to cut it for me while I was there to 49x87 for 100 inch diagonal screen. I mounted mine on the wall with mirror hangers so it was really easy to put up. There is a pretty big thread on it on the A site in the DIY screen section if you want to look into it.

Hey guys thanks for all of the input, just a quick question: Are these materials available in Canada? I can't find do-able at Home Depot here.

You can certainly find them at a art supply store or call your local museum and find out their supply source . I found a similiar product called Gatorfoam and it has served me well for 4 months . If it was in stock in Anchorage you should be able to find it anywhere .
