@fabrizio: I have a full set of boards out of a Barco 808s if you have interest except the HV components (quad, splitter, EHT).

cheers

I just get a replacement for the g2 board, but part number is R762506 and mine is R7625061.
Can I use it? If not, can I just swap the small splitter from R762506 to R7625061?

Thanks
Fabrizio

Hello,

Double check that the horizontal shift+focus en far left is R7625035 and not R762503 ; if yes, you are good to swap with the newer G2 board.
Instead you risk some smoke !

Hi Robin,
shift+focus is R762503.... Crying or Very sad
In attach the two cards. At that point, can I exchange the mini splitter??
In the image:
R762506 (replacement) down
R7625061 (the original one) up

Thanks
Fabrizio

Oh I understood the reverse about the original and the replacement board.

To be more clear :

R762506 + R762503 => Ok (older 808)
R7625061 + R7625035 => Ok (newer 808 - with better left side convergence)
R762506 + R7625035 => Ok (but no improvment - like older 808)
R7625061 + R762503 => Not ok !

Hello Fabrizio,
You will be fine with the replacement G2 board, no need to take out the focus block.
Like Robin already mensioned, the combination R762503 (H-shift + focus board) and R762506 (G2 board) is ok.
Funny enough, the G2 board you already used till now is not a match...
Anyway, the description of board numbering is as follow for all Barco projectors:
A higher revision number after the Rxxxxxx (for example rev. 6 instead of rev.4) is an improvement and always better.
But an additional digit in the board number (like R7625061 versus R762506) it means the PCB has been changed.
The rule of thumb is:
- if the additional number is 1,2,3 or 4, the board is not compatible
- if the additional number is 5,7 or 9, the board is compatible.

That's right! And it's been there since 2003!

Yesterday I have adjusted G2, and replaced also the splitter, but the problem remains: each time the scene becomes bright, the projector turns off, turning on the red LED on the EHT.

Here a short recap of what I did so far:
- Initially tubes did not turn on
- Replaced quad and the image is back but it turns off when the scene is bright.
- Replaced EHT, Splitter and G2/focus and the problem remains.

At this point I am a bit demoralized and I am starting to think about taking the beast down and replacing it...

Thanks
Fabrizio

Did you adjust the G2 voltage already ?
And you get a constant 34,7V on the splitter ?
