Center speaker - in the picture on page one you have that at the bottom of the screen, i know its not finished but that WILL end up at about 2/3 up the screen wont it ??

Thanks! The whole "perf" thing is exactly why I have a SMX screen. It's woven and not perfed. Way WAY better.

Remember this pic?

Is it SMX on the left? What's the right one?

Yep, SMX on the left and a piece of paper on the right that Clarence put up so that you can see the difference.

There is absolutely no distraction at all what so ever of this wonderful screen at one screen width back. Hell, I can watch it at about 7ft back from a 10ft wide screen!!!!!!

Gino,

When you get the car at midway and are leaving the airport - drive extremely fast (3x speed limit) for the first 20 mins.

Lock the doors - put razor wire on the outside of the car and pray (a lot).

I also recommend weaving in a random manner - helps to throw off their aim.

Alternately, you could try renting a black Holden... you've probably got the accent for the part! Wink

Installed the Moome DVI card into the XG, added a Blue Jeans HDMI-DVI cable to the only thing I have with HDMI, the Directv H-20.

PLUG-N-PLAY!!!! It works right from the start...had to lower the brightness about 6 steps, and the contrast 8.
The picture is definitely a cut above running analog. CRT was made to be digital all the way to the pj!
There's no doubt PQ has stepped up half-a-notch.

Now we'll see if it works in about six months when I add Hi-Def DVD and a processor that can switch HDMI 1.3, later I will add two small, but quality speakers in the rear to bring me up to 7.1
I'm hoping those three upgrades will future proof my system for about the next 10 years.
