The few times I have flown in and out of Midway made a lasting impression. Very quickly told my employer I would only fly out of O'Hare or Milwaukee.

Also make sure you have change for the Chicago tolls - are they still .40 each or has the price gone up?

and every now and again - the planes take to the roads

Cliff, we should be able to go to Chicago on Thursday 3rd of May, then leave for VA on Friday. (Taxes flying around the US are insane!) What time suits you? We'll find out if we can get to Gary airport tomorrow morning.

Are you sure it's cool if we crash at your place? Trying to save $$ to afford the stop over in Chicago.

Great. Sounds good Gino. I don't mind at all if you guys crash at my place. just be prepared to be woken up early by the kids.

Dude, thats 'cause you live WAAAAAAAAAAAY out in the sticks. You should make it to civilization more often. I get more nervous at night in the south than i do in the city.

Gino will be fine if he just uses common sense. 8)

In my defense - I did live up there for 3 years -
so now I really hate snow.

Gino - the defination of common sense for the area around Midway is:

"shoot first, and ask questions - umm never just run away"

Gino,

just brush up on your hood speak.

JK - midway is in the middle of a neighborhood that has seen better days (or so they tell me) Ohare is on the north side of town - bad traffic to go south or SE.

But don't ask those friendly ladies on the corner for help in finding the local attractions.

I reiterate, Z lives WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY out in the boondocks, City folk scare him.

Flying into midway and driving out, you will be fine.

I hate the way folks try to make the big city seem like a death sentence.

If you are stopping, staying in a hotel, looking for women or some stimulants, you might find trouble. If you're driving thru, no worries.

Just use common sense. 8)
