Hi guys,
I acquired a pair of XG 110 projectors about a year ago, 1 of which was not running from the get go an has old tubes. The other which was working perfectly.
Stuff happened and they ended up sitting in a cupboard for over 6 months and i now have only really had a chance to set them up and Attempt to use them.
Upon powerup the previously functional projector would not turn on and produce an FC/Fb error. All boards got reseated to no avail. However swapping the power supply from the projector with dead tubes appears to have allowed it to boot up and display an image.
Now the issue i'm having is an E0 error. Some form of message appears on the screen however due to the lack of focus/convergence etc it is unreadable. The projector then shuts down. I've read that this is fan related however all 9 fans within the unit appear to be working correctly. I've tried re-seating all the fan headers too which changed nothing.
Can the fan warning be bypassed? or is it a hardware issue?
I'm happy to strip the dead projector for parts, I also have spare boards from a 3rd projector as well that i can use.
Any advice or help would be great.
Thanks in advanced

You have big cupboards to be able to fit two XGs in there!
Those fans use a third wire to sense fan rotation (the yellow one I believe).
Is one XG projector an LC? The power supplies may be different, the 6119A is different from the 6119U (pulled those numbers out of my aging memory), and from my recollection, are not swappable without errors, but I thought that they simply didn't fire the set up. you may want to pull a fan and plug it into each of the fan connections on the HV regulator board. Maybe one fan isn't sending the rotation pulse (I think that's what that yellow line is for), indicating a stuck fan?)

Once I did a retrofit with XG1100 card cage (system and video boards) to XG 751 (which had scrambled mess System board), it did work. The two differed most in their neckboards, therefore I was also suspicious about the power supply, but it apparently worked out.
