i have a new issue with my barco1209s.
at start up the picture is dark. only after a few minutes it comes more brightness picture and perfect like i used to have.
why is that?

Total guess, but probably and aging electrical component like a capacitor taking time to reach fully functional spec.

BAd G2 board, bad video board are possibilities. I've got spares for cheap if you need them.

Hi curt
I have all the spare parts that you sold me.
Including G2 and video board
Do you recommend to already change them? Or maybe the problem will go away in time. (Didn’t use the Barco for a long time)

Run it for a while, then start changing boards if it doesn't go away.

Either one. With a fault like that, the problem could be on any one of multiple boards.

problem solved.
the RGB board was replaced and the punchy picture that i used to have as returned.
As i used to say "LONG LIVE CRT"...

Thats what I love about CRT. The design is modular and most boards are easily accessible for swapping out even in situ when ceiling mounted.

And above all I had to replace the HV splitter also. It generated an electric leak off 35KV like a lightning inside the projector. Didn’t believe this animal would survive that. And it did!
