I have some photos from 10 years ago when I had a Sony VPH-1252q and now it's bothering me how I can't remember how I replaced the blue tube.

If anyone can help me I appreciate it, I just hate forgetting things. I do miss the beauty of the CRT.

1. Did I have to remove each individual lens or did they simply all lift off in one piece?

2. It looks like I may have moved a voltage supply motherboard. Was that dangerous? Is that required to change out a tube?

3. I don't remember the steps of changing out a 07MP tube. Maybe it's so simple I didn't have to remember the steps? Was that dangerous?

4. Looks like there is a NOS Barco by Sony 07MPS, is that a direct drop in tube replacement for a Sony 1252q or does it require soldering the red high voltage wire to an existing Sony 07MP?

The tubes can be removed individually. You also don't have to remove the voltage supply board, you only have to remove the HV connector of the tube (each tube has an own). The removal is not necessarily dangerous, the pj has to be shut off and should be curentless at least for half an hour before you begin with the procedure. If you want a good condition blue tube, and a red one, I've got both here for $20 USD for the pair. Will be thrown out by the end of the year if there are no takers.
