Look for another junk 180DVB tube (or buy one, any color), and cut the bare tube out of the housing. I've done that a number of times, and also of course with the 9" LC housings.
The reason the glass cracks is because the cooling chambers are not quite watertight, and water vapor from the atmosphere slowly is absorbed by the glycol.
I've had a stream of glycol shoot up 2' (.6m) from a Barco 1209s tube due to pressure within the LC chamber. Ditto for an NEC PG tube. For the last few years that I was selling sets, I'd always remove one of the screws holding the liquid in place, and it was rare that liquid didn't seep or shoot out instantly due to internal pressure.

I would try to remove the front glass using a cutting wire. That’s how glued glasses are cut out usually.

Hi Curt, I haven't understood your suggestion.
I have the junk tube with a good glass on it.
I cut the housing around the glass to remove it.
Than I have the new tube with the broken glass.
I cannot cut the housing of the new tube to remove the broken glass!
Thanks,
Alberto
