My reply, and the truth:

Considering that I've literally been away on business for the last month, and for the last week I've been in Guyana,

and I just got back to discover that the tube had NOT been shipped, though I had
dropped it off with a "friend" who was going to send it out for me, but didn't
get around to it...and your abusive attitude when you don't even know what's
going on...frankly I'm not sure WHAT to do.

Calling me a son of a bitch when you don't know the score doesn't make me very
willing to want to do ANYTHING for you.

Apologize and we can settle this amicably. Do you want the tube or do you want your money?

But you get neither without an apology to me first....you assumed without knowing the score.

Chris

A few pix of your passport stamped for Guyana should do the trick......just an idea.....

You promised me to ship it next day when you received my money, but you lied. Two month went by,you say you are busy, and your "friend" made a mistake,it isnot reasonable.

I hate and was angry for your dishonesty and lose my time more than two months, not for the $120.

When my red tube of 1209s broke down twomonths ago,I feel anxious to look a tube. When you told me he had a good one and the total price,I was so happy and paid in the next minute by PayPal,then asked you to ship it AQAP.I was waiting for the red tube every day,and sent you email more than 10 times, but you never replied, you delayed my time.I had no choice but to buy another tube on Videogon last week.

It is your another lie. Eventhough you have been in Guyana, you still could receive my emails, why you didn't reply my email?

I apologize to any CRT amateur who have seen my some word out of line, but I will never apologize to you,CJ , you son of bitch!

I believe everyone will understand my intensive experience of CJ's swindle. I tell the truth here, just hope other amateur won't be your next victim.

You can keep my money to buy a ticket to the hell,if you think it isn't your fault!

Mr Johnson

I have no stake in this feud either way; but if you cannot show the crowd that you were in fact "out of the building" then how do you feel entitled to ask an apology?

CJ, this is a pissing contest that you can't win. It doesn't make any difference that your "friend" sat on the tube for a month or you were "away" for a month. You sat on the tube for a month prior to turning it over to your "friend". You took money that was provided to you on a timely basis and promissed to ship on a timely basis. It was and still is your responsablity to make good to him. You dropped the ball and are entitled to no appology. This could have been avoided had you just done the right thing in the beginning. So do the right thing now, send him his money and salvage some face.

How about nearly 2000 assorted digital photos of Nashville, Tennessee, the Florida Keys, and Georgetown, Guyana as evidence?

And I didn't have a computer with me, nor was I looking for an internet cafe' while there. I was too busy, too focused on my work, and there's no such thing as an internet cafe' at a bauxite mining pit in south America anyway.

I'll give this guy's money back if he only apologized for the insults. ONLY THEN. (Plus a brief delay while I get my paypal account back into service...)

Am I guilty of taking too long to ship? Hell, yes, I am! Guilty as charged. But
will I take threats or direct insults? Hell, no!

I'll refund the money ONLY if I get an apology for that. And it has to be PUBLIC, posted HERE. Otherwise it'll be held indefinitely.

Or at least, that's how I feel about it right now. I may simmer down after a good
night's sleep and just send his lousy money back to him anyway because I feel
that I'm better than him, as I won't insult him even though I probably would be justified in doing so.

I am going on vacation this week,.. does that mean I can rip some people off?

I don't see the connection... maybe you went somewhere but how does that tie in with the reason to take people's money and forget about them.

All I gather from this is the pot wasn't big enough this time for you to cut ties for good.

(too bad because I had my hopes up.)

I have to agree with the "your an ass" comment and if anyone continues to work with you after seeing this type of excuses is clearly foolish or at least taking a big risk. You think your unrelated things that you do should be your customers problems? At least I've been around long enough to see this isn't the first time.

Apologize......CJ........YOUR the one who should be apologizing.......not the buyer who promptly sent funds and sat and waited, and waited, and waited.....

Like I said, anyone who would be stupid enough to send you a dime for anything after this DESERVES to be ripped off.

No, how about a pic of your stamped passport?

Still, as everyone has pointed out (because it's obvious to everyone but you), even if it's true it's still no excuse.

Time for you to move on CJ. Your bull**** has run it's coarse on the forums and even the most gullible members no longer buy your crap (well, maybe Joust still does Wink ). And that's saying a lot because we have some really gullible members.

Matt, you don't have to worry about CJ's health anymore (Matt wasn't getting any sleep). Wink He was just out partying on other people's money.

Phil, I'm finally going to say what I've been holding back now for quite some time.

I see you as one of those rare, useless sorts who has nothing to contribute of value to this or any other community, and this is
clearly evident in many ways.

You have repeatedly made disparaging remarks to me and about me and what I've done, and attempted to do, with varying
degrees of success and failure, since the first days at the A site when I explored the possiblity of getting another tube company
(Thomas Electronics) to build tubes for our projectors at lower cost than VDC charges. Well, they CAN make those tubes,
but it's hardly my fault that their price isn't much of a bargain. Still, in this and in OTHER respects, I can at least truly say
that I tried to make contributions to this community that would be beneficial to the community. Certainly I haven't seen YOU
attempt to offer ANYTHING of the sort. NOTHING. I personally doubt you could contribute anything of value even if you really
wanted to. I think you're too limited.

I did find P19LUG tubes that were available at a slight but worthwhile discount, via Avical Australia, PTY, limited. I can't recall
the involved user's forum name here, but pricing was set and it was a couple of hundred bucks below VDC's price. I don't know
if anyone bought any tubes off that deal or not.

Frankenyokes are real. They work. MY invention. Several forum members have made sets of them and others are continuing the
project in different variations. I haven't made any money off of this, this invention, such as it is, was a GIFT to anyone who wanted
to put forth the minor effort it takes to brew up his own set. And I don't know of anyone who's put in a set of Frankenyokes who
has gone back to the stock yokes.

OK, I do have issues with getting shipping done on some deals. Whatever the reason, I'm guilty of that but I'm also setting things
right as quickly as I can.

But I've TRIED to make some meaningful contributions to the world of CRT projection for home theater enthusiasts. And with some
successes, and some failures.

There's a big difference between you and me right there, Phil. I've made an effort. Where's your contribution?

Phil, you've never lifted a finger for this group except to type disparaging comments toward and about me and type various other
comments that frankly don't amount to much in this forum by any standards.

So, Phil, you useless, technically inept, non-contributing jackass, I most kindly suggest that you go hang yourself.
Or at the very least, consider me added to your IGNORE list, and I'll be quite sure to do the same for you.

Dang CJ, I may have been born poor white trash, but I hope I never find myself carrying the burden that is obviously yours and I truly hope you find someway to rid yourself of it. You'll feel better and the world will be a better place.

I carry no burden. But there's definitely a "history" between myself and Phil. I try to find a way to improve anything I touch, he tries to find a way to cut down the achievements of people who do what he can't or won't do but doesn't like. I eventually reached the point at
which I won't let such behavior slide without comment.

But I'm not carrying any "burden" like you seem to think. I'm living a great life, I'm doing quite well, and I'm considerably happier in
my daily life than most people are. I'm winning in every way that truly matters to me.

Yes because you tried to lead the folks on AVS to believe that you actually knew what you were talking about when you didn't have all the information. You caused quite a stir about this because you couldn't wait to post until you had all the info from Thomas. I started to doubt their abilities (remember you wouldn't tell anyone who you were dealing with so I figured it out on my own) when I did some checking with industry insiders and found they didn't have EM capabilities or expertise but were building ES tubes. Had you kept this to yourself (after all the ONLY reason you were posting was for self recognition as you wouldn't share the investigative chores with anyone else) and not gotten everyone in an uproar with this FUD, you would have found out what some insiders already know. I do commend you for the effort but I also condem you for causing the BS stir you did.
