Hi i have a barco 808 and when i fire up the projecter the picture is taking longer than usual to appear and then when it does appear i only get half the picture initially but after time the picture will start to appear coming from right to left i have attached some pics

I replaced the voltage quadrupler about 3 years ago which i got from curtepalme

Check the 17 volt supply test point on the power supply, and adjust as required. I think it may be off. The main website shows how to do it.

if that's not it, then check your blanking settings in the geometry menu. Worst case, your vertical board may be bad, as that's where the blanking is located.

Hi have checked the 17v test point and found itwas 25.8v i adjusted trim pot and the best i can get is 20v

Also the green led on the power supply board is pulsing and now i cant get any picture

20v is way too high. If thats the closest you can get to 17v then you must have an issue with your SMPS. You need to repair or replace it. I would stop using the set until you fix this.

Ok i removed the smps and found about 6 bad solder joints i resoldered and installed now i have got the picture back but only when the 17v test point is reading about 23v any thing under and i loose the pic but i still have original fault with picture not full

I have checked the blanking for the left side and and was able to adjust to get a bit more picture but i am out of adjustment

I am wondering if your meter is reading correctly. At 23 volts, things should start to blow up, and not work perfectly..
