Hi folks,
last night the nightmare became true. Crying or Very sad

I started a project https://circuit-board.de/forum/index.php/Thread/24473-Wechsel-von-R%C3%B6hre-auf-CRT-Beamer/ to use my projector for old game consoles and during setup the glas of the blue tube (P16LJE909BMB) cracked. I don't know why - the temperature was realy fine and i think it was because of the age of the projector.

I searched for a replacement but didn't found anything. Is there any chance to get a blue tube for this projector or is this the end?

I hope someone can help me. I live in Austria and here it is hard to find any replacement for CRT projectors.

Are you sure the tube itself also got broken? Most of the time only the front glass breaks, that is the lesser problem as it can be replaced more easily (but still PITA).

Ok. I didn't know that only the front glas can also be broken.
A little from the glycol was running out. i will check that at home.
How can i repair the front glas?

Oh man,
i finally found the Bleeding article on the webpage. Mad

Because of the ceiling mount the glycol shouldn't got in contact with any circuit.

So to replace the front glas - can i go to my local glazier's workshop? Should i use glas or polycarbonate?

Good news

I found one guy in beisammen.de Forum who has Original glasses for my NEC.
Maybe my projector can be repaired.

Now I must disassemble the blue tube for replacing the glas. I have read the guide but how difficult is it? Do i need to get the projector on the floor or can it be done on the ceiling?

You need to separate the blue tube from the set, but you can do that with the projector on the ceiling at least.
Removing the broken glass is easy, removing an intact glass without damage is more difficult Wink

that most likely happened due to excess pressure in the glycol. While you have the set apart, also pull the green and red tubes, and bleed the excess pressure from the tube via the sealed Philips screws on the side of the front housing.

I saw your guide and will do that as soon as i get the glas for the blue tube.

Yesterday the glas arrived and this weekend i will take the projector from the ceiling and will try to get the tube out of it.
If i kill the blue tube i will come back to your offer Wink

During my search for the glas i got an offer for an NEC XG 135 LC with tubes without mask. I will try to get it. Transfer from Germany to Austria is the next problem Smile

I also checked the other tubes of my PG9 and they should be ok. One problem is only the mask on the green tube from the first owner. Has anyone tried to correct the mask with the tutorial on this site?

I also switched from PG9200 to 135LC and the LC adds a better impression, even though the XG has its own short comings.
