How high does everyone put their screens? I'm going to build a 12" 2nd row riser and the room has a 8'-9" ceiling, but the soffit will drop the ceiling another 6"-9" around the outside of the room. I have a 8500 with a factory mount, but want to stay within the keystone range of the projector without dropping the projector down to much. Is there a program (Barco, Ehome) that can aid in the calculations?

I've only personally experimented with just a couple screen heights so far. The center line WAS at about 5'6" but is currently around 4'6". The placement of my pj after mounting it dictated the screen location. (I also have an 8500 BTW). I'm thinking I'll have to take the screen up another 6 inches to satisfy second row seating so they can view the bottom of the screen.
My problem is ceiling height. I can't downsize the UniStut mount any more than what it is so I'll have to angle the pj down and the screen up to match each other. It will shift the viewing cone but I'll be able to minimize keystone adjustments. Everythings a trade-off in my HT.
