As suggested by Kal, I openend this thread since I have a moome v3 external and want to know if it is worth buying the internal version.

Any comments?

I have heard that the internal card is better. But of course it is less flexible.

I have only internal cards and I'm quite pleased with them.

The general consensus is that the internal card is better. I have owned all of them starting from the original DVI card and each newer version had a visible improvement compared to the previous ones.
