When you sending them back Mike?
Shipping date?
Tracking number?
How jacked up are the Moome card, LVPS and VIM?
Will I have to have them repaired?
Will you pack them safely for return?
Mike, your word and reputation is shot. I've got the promises posted and you cannot refute it.
CAN YOU PUBLICLY STATE WHEN THEY WILL BE RETURNED WITH A TRACKING NUMBER POSTED? CAN YOU PUBLICLY ANSWER THE QUESTIONS REGARDING THE 3 ITEMS?

I've already posted several times in this thread, what condition they would be in and that they would all be working just as I received them. How many times to I need to keep posting this, as I've already done the same in email.
When this will happen. I'll get back to you when I can test and make sure before shipping.
And since I've been having to consistently repeat what I've already said in both email and on this thread, I only hope you now understand that your boards will be sent back to you and that they will be working as you sent them to me. And the workmanship will not be any different from what I stated when I said "they will go back the way I received them"
Should I post these same things multiple times in hope of you finally understanding what I've already said already over and over?

If Curt says it's OK, I have no issue with it. His board, his rules. Still don't really care to read all about the dirty laundry much. It's too tabloid-y for me.

So when you sending them Mike? No answer as usual? You need to hold onto them for how much longer after asking you to stop all work? Test them for what? Could you send them tomorrow? Tracking number posted here? I asked to stop all work, ALL WORK, and let me know what needs to be addressed because you cannot be trusted with your word. I don't want them handled by you anymore , I want them sent back to me as is. Got it Mike!
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick! More time with bullcrap lies.

I'll get back to you on this. I'm not able to commit to anything right now. And like I told you, I cannot send them back "as is" because I had already told you I've started restoring them. The LVPS however is cleaned up. Can't reverse that.

Let me propose that you set a target date. That's all. You must know roughly how long it will take, so estimate that time plus a little longer to provide a cushion for "what it" scenarios.
I can build a guitar in three weeks from start to finish. I never say it'll be less than six weeks from first cut to last screw.

Good point, I'll look at things tonight and see about sending them out the next couple of days, but before the weekend for sure.

Hey Curt,
When do you tell this guy to just ship them back to me and close this thread. Again, Mike has the power to conclude this and satisfy the terms so everyone can move on. I don't want him to handle the boards at all. Pack all of it up nicely, and send them on their way to me. Is that fair enough or what?
Sorry Chris, Didn't see your post.

" I've called Curt to ask his opinion on sending the boards back as-is. I'm waiting to hear back from him, because that is a practice that's never encouraged."
Mike,
You're fired! I don't need Curt's permission to do what I want with MY boards. Send them Back. Don't touch them at all other than to package and send. Date, tracking number and post here on the site for all to see.
Tick, tick, tick, tick. Backpedaling liar.

I've already told you what I was going to do, yet you keep asking and demanding. I've posted it several times so far concerning how I'll send them back. Getting Curt's opinion is just that, not that it'll change what I've already said. But as indicated also, it's not something that's not recommended and I just got confirmation on that from another source.

Now getting back sooner on getting back before the weekend:

Well, after looking at things to do the next few days, before Friday may not happen. Monday would be better as a goal date, because I found out from another source I should definitely make sure they are as I said they would be in other post and emails.

Get together & calmly work out a solution you'll both be happy with. Name calling, legal threats etc do nothing to help solve the problem. It just adds to it & the problem becomes larger.
In my lifetime I've learned that it takes two people to make a problem. And two people to solve it.
Good luck to both of you

Mike, I don't think he wants them to be "ready". I think he wants them dropped in a box right now and shipped out right now regardless of their current condition.
I totally get your wanting to finish them out so he's happy with what he gets back. I really do.
But sometimes the best thing to do is just do as your customer asks, instead.

From what I have read and understand Mike is doing these at hobby level now, not to make money. He needs to prioritise making a living and get to the hobby stuff when he can.
I have been modding my 1292 for 6 months now. Everytime I try and get back to it something gets in the way. I expected to have it done in a month.
If you want Mike to do upgrades for you I suggest you find a spare set of boards to keep you running. Time gets away but making a living and keeping food on the table is priority for everyone.
Perfection takes time and RF is black magic. What works on one board may not work on another. Trial and error at hobby level takes many hours.
Consider what level of results you want. A quick half a job or the slow time consuming perfection outcome.
This is just my two bobs worth as having played with mods and have a bit of an idea of how time gets away.

I understand here, but also know and have been made aware, they should be in the same working condition.
I caught up on some things yesterday and will fire them up in the projector today to speed things up. The neck boards and LVPS were the only boards really worked on. The VIM changes would have happened only after I got everything ready for the matching process. So with all work I'm quite sure is done to the neck boards and what has already happened to the LVPS, everything should fire up. And with no need to match things, they should be ready to go out sometime soon.
The LVPS is ready. I'll take some pictures of it, wishing now I would have taking some before shots. The only thing still remaining from that oxidation problem is some of the screws still have rust on them. I'll take pictures of them as well. But everything else is cleaned up well. I usually spay down the boards with a silicon spay that I'll let set over night or a day. Then use a component cleaner spay and brush both sides of the board. Spray again with silicon, let set then a final using component cleaner. Let dry boom. Because oxidation affects metal and component leads, a good coating of silicon and allowing it to set in first is a must to remove the oxidation and prevent from doing more damage.
And Thanks guys for chiming in and your thoughtful words here

That's a really good post which should be made a sticky. You covered it all. Having spare boards is critical to keep one up and running

Sorry Mike, couldn't take your call yesterday, was in an install. I'm not getting involved in this whatsoever, other than to say that you need to send MAK back a working set of boards, which is what he sent in. If you want, you can buy a stock set of working boards and a LVPS off me for little more than the cost of shipping, and I'll send them down to him. Should be under $50 for shipping to Illinois.
