So you're saying Curt would see the use of the word "Hope" as being definitive statement, opposed to what the dictionary indicates what it is:

hope
hōp/
noun
noun: hope; plural noun: hopes

a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

verb

verb: hope; 3rd person present: hopes; past tense: hoped; past participle: hoped; gerund or present participle: hoping

want something to happen or be the case.

I find this hilarious. You post an "F you to Kurt and Greg" but then engage in the same behavior that soured the relationship between Greg, Mike and Kurt by making your discontent public. From what I've seen MP doesn't respond well to such scenarios (attorneys, threats, etc.)

Who is there to warn? At this point, all the diehard CRT folks have formulated an opinion of MP one way or the other so this thread is erroneous to say the least. This is akin to warning people not to take their car to mechanic that closed shop already.

The F you was in response to Kurt having me in a conversation he had with MP. I do not speak to Kurt or contact him regarding my dealings with others. Kurt sent me a PM after posting the warning here at Curt's site. I told him to stay out of my business dealings with Mike. Does not matter what MP thinks or feels at this point. He has a contract and needs to deliver the goods as promised. The "shop" was open to do business with me, Greg, Nidi, Kurt, and many others. As you can see, he backpedals after being confronted with his own self made dilemma. I have been patient and kind for long enough, to warrant the thread.

Hey Mark, Your Boards will be ready to go back to you the end of this week. There was a few changes I needed to make, they are now perfect. Waiting ion an inductor to arrive today.

Also glad you sent the Moome along, because it also has to be matched.

I'll let you know when it's all ready, and will talk about the LVPS then.

mike

Still backpedaling with the word Hope. What about the email that they "are ready to go to you at the end of the week"? They are now Perfect! Sheesh you are in another world. Always looking for a way out of what you promised. A BIG LIAR IS WHAT YOU HAVE BECOME

You certainly have but you need to decide what the goal is- getting your mods ASAP or exposing Mike's mistakes. As I said, no point in warning people as everyone knows the deal. Mike himself will tell you that he takes forever (for a variety of reasons) so nothing new here. However, if you just want to vent and getting resolution is secondary then so be it.

I did not know that Mike was slow in returning the promised mods. It would be seen in my email to him regarding the turnaround time. I am looking for a reasonable date for the return of the boards and LVPS. EVERYONE can see that Mike states a few days to a week. Now why does someone make a promise such as that and then backpedal on the truth? There is no good reason to wait 4 months for a mod he promises in a weeks time. All I want to do is have Mike honor his word based on what has been stated and provide the mods promised. Nothing more or less. I have a 100k audio room with a boat anchor hanging off the floor joists. How about this. Mike sends me a refund with the mods done and when I FEEL like it, I'll make promises to pay and then reneg. Then I can state that you "hoped to get paid on time".

Yes, the vim as well. It should take a few days turnaround, but I would say a week to make sure. The LVSP is a must to do with this upgrade

I bought 3 new tubes (LCP09s) and magnetics from Tim. I'd like to send you the LVPS for the upgrade. Will you need the VIM also? I see you sold Wolfman your latest mods and I hope he can do better than what has been seen so far.

That was true at the time, back in May of this year. I had started on them, but didn't wrap things up as intended for very valid reasons I won't go into here.

And along the way, just like with some of the other upgrades, they went back into a state of delay. And on the turn-around time, that's also true with the guesstimated time frame. Meaning I presented what I thought it would take, and we know how that usually goes.

However, the real deal is this last discussion to get things done, because mixed emails over long periods of time, may not show the true context of all discussions, with the long time frame being a challenge to memory or intent.

But the last discussions is what should be on the table, and that is what is in the present emails. And that is where the word "hope" is the "promise" and my offer to continue a few more days because i chose to repair your terribly contaminated LVPS instead of stopping things. The heart of things is all wrapped up there. I wanted to go forward, you instead threw a temper tantrum and called things off, and told me twice to send things back regardless or where I am with things. So I did what you said, when only a few more days would have wrapped this up. I took a few days and restored most of the ongoing work back to it's original, as per your request. And you then informed me about your attorney contacting me... so OK, please at this shut get your attorney involved. I would surely like to hear him explain to me how I should go back once more and re-do all that I'll already done, even knowing it was honoring your request. You can do back flips and change your mind all day long, but be mindful that I'm not obligated to follow you around and play Simon Says.

So if your attorney is set to contact me, let's move to that solution...

Comments like this make you sound pretentious to say the least. Add that to the email you sent to Kurt where you threatened to beat him up and perhaps we should post a warning about you... Laughing

Lets find out where he works.....let his boss know his company should be paying him tons more because he never delays a thing and is more than willing to throw a co-worker under the bus....Willing to bet he has sued a co-worker in the past.

Mike has my parts and is modding them....When they are done Mike will ship them. I told him no hurry as I am dealing with a rebuild of drywall from a busted pipe in the basement. Mike told me he is dealing with some personal issues. Not going into details and should not matter. And I get it.....If I have a problem with someone, I do not air out my dirty laundry on a forum....Only Curt does that. Razz However this guy went to a closed store and demanded service and said he will sue. This guy needs to get it right....only Curt can come here and b1tch moan and get away with it Mr. Green . As for MP....give him some time. We don't need to be hearing the same thing about MP as we did with Cliff. Sad

Chris,

After reading the emails posted and the patience I have endured, am I wrong to expect the mod's to be completed in a timely manner? I simply want my 3 neck cards, VIM, Moome card, and LVPS back in my possession. I own them. Sent Mike a letter to stop all work and return them immediately. I am afraid that he will ignore the request and simply confiscate them.

I have no idea what happened to Cliff. The time allotted for the mods has been more that adequate. I contacted Mike privately on the mater and he knew I wanted them completed. I did not make the delivery promises, did I! You can see that the boards were perfect and ready to ship in the emails. Right? His store was open enough to accept payment. Right? I asked Mike to stop all work and just send me the items I own back to me. END OF STORY for this issue if done.

Does that sound fair to Mike? He won't have to lift a finger to provide what was agreed to. Hopefully he will pack the items up carefully and SHIP THEM OUT TO ME. As is. Once I receive and inspect them I can move in another direction. Now am I being unfair to Mike? Answer it honestly based on the emails provided. I have many more that have been withheld.

Sincerely,

Mark

I asked Mike privately to complete the mods and it continually got pushed out further. So who is to blame? I understand your concern and appreciate it.

My point is, what's the point of this? Do you expect US to arbitrate this dispute?

Because that's what needs to happen. Somehow, all involved parties need to be made whole again, whether that involves
finishing the work and delivering it or issuing a refund or...SOMETHING....but it's not something that the membership of this forum
going to be able to provide.

You need to handle this between yourselves, privately. If satisfaction can not be achieved, then it needs to go to arbitration.

This board is not an arbitration board, is it?

I don't want to do it, and I don't think Kal wants to, or Curt, or anybody else, either. Not mods, not staff, nobody.

I asked Curt privately if I could post my concerns to others. I do not need you to moderate the issue for me or anyone else. I have done no wrong. It is a warning to others that Mike cannot abide by his word and deliver the goods as promised. Not the first time this happened with Mike from what I gather. So if Curt approved of the post and you disliking it so much, I have an idea!

Stay out of it!

I explicitly stated what I would like to happen to close the issue and move on. Has Mike responded to sending the boards back on this site or privately? NOPE.. AGAIN, Mike has the power to make this right. Wouldn't you agree?

Thanks,

Mark

This is BS, because he never showed or mentioned the emails, stating me wanting to make this right, or the ones where he demanded that I not do anything else to the boards (twice or more). To simply send them back only and send them back in whatever condition they are in.

He did not want me to go further, THAT IS CLEARLY in the emails. Not sure why he sends you something indicating otherwise, as if I have been ignoring him or not responding. Yes, after his demands and blatant and consistent insults, I then made it clear I would be sending them back, and that I would have to do a lot of "un-doing" first and would of course HONOR his request.

He later posted in this thread he started that "I should do the right thing" - this of course is all AFTER he opened this thread, and AFTER he made it clear to me he wanted the boards sent back. Now I have to read this BS that's totally contrary to what really happened. As if I just decided to ignore the guy..Rolling Eyes

So what do I do after doing EXACTLY what he demanded that I do. I take the weekend to do a reversal, and then read here that he wants me to do the right thing.

So Mike should pull the boards back out and start another reverse process...question, what if the reverse process takes more than the estimated time he sent me that things should happen. And how would I know when things would be able to meet his time expectation.
