I have gone through 6 projectors since the year 2000: 1 Runco DTV-943, 3 DTV-947's, and 1 Barco Cine 7 (brand new). All have failed with red LED "HOLD DOWN EHT". My last one, Cine 7, was installed August 2014 and failed this past Monday, June 26, 2017 (about 3 years of service). I only use my theater 3 or 4 times a month on average. These all failed with low hours of use. I have one brand new, in the original crate, never opened Cine 7 left. Is there something inherent in these models with air flow restrictions which would require an external fan or some other factor I should address to extend the life of this last unit until some day I just may be able to afford an upgrade? Yes, the HV quadruplers and splitters in the set age over time whether they are being used or not. It's the most popular parts that I sell.
The Cine 7 is even worse, as they changed the construction of the potting compound back around 1998, and the newer compounds go conductive over time. I always replace them with the older style that are more reliable.
Also, the tight quarters of the whole series seems to have something to do with the HV failures, although I've had 708s here from flight simulators that had 40,000 hours + on them with the original HV sections on them.
All I can offer you is that I have replacement quads and splitters at reasonable prices, tested and with a 60 day warranty. You'd need to buy the quad and HV splitter, as there's no way to tell which one has failed without replacing it, as there's no way to test the quad or splitter. The quad fails more than the splitters though, by about 3:1. Send me an email through the main site, or PM me here.

I've swapped the power supply board on 2 of the units and now one unit turns on, the blue tube strobes for about 15 seconds, then it stays on steady for about 15 seconds, then it starts to strobe again. Would this be caused by a bad HV splitter?
Also I've sent 2 requests to the main site emails about a week apart for price and shipping 2 splitters and 2 quads to 28173, but have had no response.
Thanks

I did get the one message on Friday, nothing before that though, sorry! Will email you now.
Try disconnecting the blue HV lead and see if the red and green tubes then turn on normally. I'd suspect a possible video neck board problem (the socket on the back of the blue tube), maybe a bad HV lead going to the tube (doubtful) or a bad blue tube itself.
If the R and G tubes work fine after disconnecting the blue HV lead, then swap the blue CRT socket with the green. All three are identical, but be careful when switching out the sockets. The bunch of yellow wires on each socket connect to a white connector that is under the tubes, If you undo the two screws of the RGB input board and pull it backwards, they will be easy to see and unplug. It's REALLY easy to bend one of the pins on the connector on the PC board one if you pull the connector off crooked though. No damage is done if one pin is bent, but you'll lose the picture on that corresponding tube. Then you'll think something else went wrong. Been there, done that, too many times with the 70X series. Will email you now.
