Thanks. Bought them from midwest seating. Going to put some recilners in front. Should have 7.1 in by monday😀 |

Check out seatcraft for recliners; aspen model not much more than rocker style seating;-)

Thanks. It's been a lot of work and there's still a bit more to get it exactly where I want but it is coming along. It's very rewarding when a project comes to fruition in the manner in which you envisioned. That's not a given as there's usually stumbling blocks which can alter the intended outcome.
I have a 3-channel Carver amp (a-753x) showing up today and hope to have my M&K S-5000's installed by middle of next week. So I'll have a functioning 7.1 set up which should make for some interesting testing. It's a bit more fun to test audio than video  When Kurt set up the PJ back in the fall we spent 40-hours of hard core tweaking/testing and while it's fun to see the end result we (especially him) were pretty shot by the end of it.

I am sure I've lost count as well.
For every one I have now, (that's sixteen including the JVC RS45 digital and a lower resoltution, high brightness InFocus unit that'd be good for gaming or business presentations) I am sure I've had at least one more that I scrapped, sold, or gave away in the past.
Just to try to run down the list:
Not less than eight more Marquees
Sony VPH-722Q1
Sony VPH-1072
Sony VPH-1092
Two AmPro 4600s
One AmPro 3600
Two Barco SLM R5 large venue DLP machines
Four workable AmPro light valve chassis plus spares
AmPro LCD-300 which was a new engineering sample, which I made a tidy profit off of.
I'm sure there were more.

FYI, three running G90s will trip the 15A thermal circuit breaker in a typical 6-outlet power strip, after a few minutes.
So assume they draw 5 amps each. Marquees draw a bit less power than a G90.

I wouldn't want to see your electricity bill! (Both for running the projectors and for keeping the room at something less that 110F).

Hey CJ- you better make sure you have good medical insurance. Those Light valve projectors are radiation beacons!!
Never knew Ampro made any; thought it was just JVC.

I haven't had a light valve unit since 2000 or 2001.
Neat machines, though. It was fun to learn how they work.
I had one of every model Ampro made except for the two chassis AE-12 model.
The lower chassis was the lamphouse and lamp power supply.
It used a 5KW Xenon arc lamp and put 12K lumens on the screen.

Count Dookoo is stuffed in the left middle column
The black ceiling really does give it thst emglish horror feel. With the low ceiling I had to go black. If I had a 9-10' ceiling I would have installed a coffer. Final step is acoustic treatments.
