So something I don't understand is going on here.
I powered on the PJ, the red and blue came on with the blue looking like the G2 was too high. So in order to get into the service menu (no green, as that is where I have the dead neck board) , I switched the dead board, which I had on the green, back to the blue. Powered up the PJ and voila, the green and red are functioning and the blue now has a color (the supposedly one now with the dead neck board). The blue has no image, just color. Now when I first though I had a dead neck board on the blue, I confirmed it by switching it with the green. Can the neck board still be dead? Or is the problem in the video chain?
I have not hooked up a source to the PJ yet, I need to do that to test the video chain.

I connected a source to the PJ and there is a image on the red and green. I tried messing with the G2 on the blue, that would make the raster show up, but since I can not see any image, I can not tell what the settings for the G2 is on the blue.
One note about the PJ powering up correctly, it seems if I leave the PJ plugged in for a long enough period of time, it starts normally.
I'm almost thinking it would be nice to have a donor 8500 or even 9500, because of all the moisture that got into the PJ. I'm afraid if I replace the neck board, then the next thing to go would be the LVPS, then what??? I found this one in a alley, maybe I need to head back out to the alleys?

The video signals come from the three cables that plug into the video input module. Try swapping the red and blue cables on the VIM. Power the projector down for this procedure.
That will give you a more conclusive test. Verify that good signals are being generated for the neck cards to use.

I would suspect the blue neck board is bad or the little rca cable is either bad connection or loose
Replace it and your problems should go away

The RCA plugs were rusted , I cleaned them up really good and then swapped the red and blue on the VIM. I then fired it back up and it was the same, the green and red were displaying a good signal and the blue still had, what looked like, too high of a G2 level. So that means all three signals off the VIM are good. The neck board on the blue is bad.
Can the neck board effect the G2 level. Before, the level was not too high on what looked like a failed neck board (displaying nothing whatsoever), then at some point it just went up. Maybe the bad board started having more problems.
It's still starting up fine, I have been just letting the PJ sit for a while after I plug it in. Seems to like that. Just like me, needs it's coffee in the morning.

Yes it can
I went through a simler issue with the blue tube in my vision one(basically a 9501 with the fiberglass case)
It would give intermette yellow picture(the blue would be super fun as if the tube heaters wasn't working) I swapped around the neck boards and the problem followed the board a replacement from curt fixed it(I still have the old neck board)
I have a spare set of those cables but since you say they are working fine I wouldn't mess with them
I wouldn't run it much till I got a replacement neck board as that's not good on the tube(I had to use my dwin set till I got the replacement board) makes me glad I have a spare set around
My set also likes to warm up some before use

Cool
Received a pile of spare parts for the 9500 today, boxes and boxes of fun. I decided to go that route, tons of spares, as the condition of this PJ is not the best, being left outside for who knows how long.
So I replaced the suspect neck board and the problems are gone. The LVPS is still holding up, seems that all I had to do was leave it plugged in and it fixed itself.
Thanks for all the help guys. I'm in the process of rebuilding my theater, so as soon as that is done, I will get this 9500 up and projecting. I real interested in seeing how it compares to my 10PG.
