after all kinds of problems i finally thougt of not swopping the tubes and setting the pj in it's place and trying to work it out myself so i swopped the cards from my old pj into the new one and filtering out the bad ones . After allot of testing i finally got it working! i whas happy until i fed it a source Sad the pj whas al over the place it wouldn't scan right the convegence menu and the source could not stay stable and source input menu would show sometimes.... what?

the story go's that the last owner set the cards wrong and it shorted everyting out, can it be that the covegence board has some falty parts? what couses picture stability isseus like this? vertical scanning isseus? Neutral

There are some boards that cannot be swapped between sets if they are not identical, so that's probably what you're finding. All sets should work without the convergence tray in it, so make sure that you can get a clear image (with no convergence of course) with the tray removed. if you still have image issues, then you have other problems in the set. have you set the 17 volt trimpot on the power supply? That can cause a number of problems as well if the voltage is off.

i indeed swapped all boards between the sets because some boards were all weird when i put them in my old pj there whas one board causing problems in the new pj so i swapped it with my board and it started up fully but not tested it with a source hooked up then i was left with a number of other boards like two power supply's, vertical board, horizontal output board, etc. also somebody removed the front port 3 module and placed a card in the place of the port 3 board with a other wire hooked up to vertical board what caused to trigger a red light to come on, on the vertical board, and that is why i saw only phosfor lighting up and not fully lighting up.
can you leave the port 3 input board out, and will it start up? and can you swap power supply's?
