But there is no problem because I use the 2005 vim in the 2010 chasis and that seems to work.

Without ability to verify the control signals between the CLM and the VIM it will be difficult finding out what's going on there.
If You want, I could identify and possibly solve the problem. For this You would have to send both boards to me for a week. I could send You replacements if You need to keep the PJ going (You could try out my modified -03 VIM).
To be honest: I'm very much interested in that software version 6.1. I have almost all versions from 3.1 to 5.0 but nothing newer and I have the tooling and blank chips for reading/programming U16/U35/U100 (CLM) and U7 (DBP)...

I can send you a 2010 clm because I have two. Do you sell a modified 03 vim? I am allways interested in more mods
Did you get the new neckboards to perform right?
I am going to make some smpte pics with modified video boards and new neckboards with lug soon as I get some screws to fasten the lenses.

That would be great! Reading the chips only takes 10 minutes and I could test its behaviour in different configurations with my test machine in order to see if I can replicate and explain the problems You have.

I have no intention of doing so as I don't want to interfere with other modders (like Mike Parker) and their business. It's more like that I've modded some boards for myself and it would be nice getting a second opinion on the improvements. If anything about the mods could work for You then just copy my work. No problem.

I've set them aside for the moment. Currently I'm working on a new fan control circuit which will involve multiple temperature sensors, temperature logging, individually controlled fans and a display (everything built around an Arduino Mega 2650)...

That's much appreciated Barclay, but feel free top do whatever. It's all good with me, especially these later days. Plus, I've gotten so many messages saying others were getting into it over the years, to even these days hearing of things going on. But as I've been telling people, it's not a problem at all. Even to those who would want to "reverse engineer" what I've done.
I keep telling myself; this is going to be my last, but it just kept going on. My last unfortunately is still on the drawing table as I type..
I've been trying to get to the LVPS and get it to turn off the filament (3.9) when the set is turned off, that and a few other things.

Well I am open that I reverse enginered the mods but as I understood that is not a problem as long as I do not tell or sell to others. I told some people but not the details I send them to Mike for that.

Well, you're being truthful about it. And at this point in things, there's not enough going on in the CRT world for me to make a big deal out of it, much like why I'm not making a big deal out of some other things that's going on right now.
Nothing has really been concealed, so I'm not bothered by anyone who would want to tinker further and or maybe even want to improve on things to their own taste. Just only been concerned about things being told to others without my consent much like you indicated. But not as concerned about that these days.

Like a lot of guys I am thinking about other options than CRT but I am afraid I will be watching it longer than I keep possible for now. The Sony's are sharp but sharpness is not everything and they use iris for blacklevel. So I do not want them And they use bulbs ulch The lasers also use the dlp pannels so they need iris for blacklevel ulch evrything uses dlp panels or lcos panels all can not do black. I lost hope for a laser scanning projector.
So what are my options? Barco or Marqee or both
