Hi everyone,

Now that I understood the protocol, I'm ready to set up m'y Sony 1292.
But there's a complication. The bottom of my painted screen is at about 3 feet from the floor and I can't make a ceiling installation . So when I make some tests I have to put my projector on a 20" support to have a centered image on my screen. With this support, the top of the 1292 is at 3 feet from the floor... Crying or Very sad
The ideal support should be 12-13" high...
Is there any solution without tilting the projector with a 35 degrees angle?

Advices appreciated !

Best regards.

You need the projector in line with the bottom of the screen or the top of the screen. Proper projector placement is very important.

Put the projector where you want it and set up the screen where it needs to be.

Thanks for your answer.
I know, but I don't have the choice given my screen is a painted one.
So I have to accept this 2 feet support or to cancel the installation...

Hi guys,

I want to progress in the setup of my Crt ; the placement is good.
I've done a global factory reset but when I want to setup the rasters, their edges are very concave... In all the exemples I've seen, they're always straight without having to make any adjustment...
What did I miss?

Thanks.

Best regards.

Side bow or pincusion. I don't own a good 1292 but it will be the equivalent of those terms.

Yes, it's Bow. But why are the edges concave by default ? In G Johnson's video, they're straight without adjustments. He doesn't use Bow, Lin... for rasters setup.

Best regards.

Is there a way to set the projector to factory defaults or a way to delete the current config. If you haven't done that then the bow is likely a result of the previous owner.

Or, set all parameters in the menus to 128, which is the center point.

Hi,

Thanks for your advices.
The factory reset has been made. So all the parameters are set to 128... That's why I don't understand the shape of my rasters...

Ok, sily question: is this looking the same projected? Looking into LC optics can be funny sometimes.

Hi gjaky,

Thanks for your message.
Good question!
Yes, projected raster has the same shape...

It's very difficult to make rasters adjustments with their shape. And a lot of phosphor surface is lost on each tube.

In this case I'd say you have some problem with the projector.
Just one more idea. I don't know how the changeover between ceiling and floor instalation goes, but are you sure all the connector (especially the convergence) also set for the proper operation.

Yes, the connectors are in the good position for a ceiling installation.
Don't know what I can do...
