maybe but unlikely, those little Blue add-on Caps are almost always the boards with really bad CL409 op amps.

Drags, look at all his pics, one Marquee is Black case I think( 8500 ?) and the other is a grey case ( 9000 ?) So look at both Stig amp boards. He said they are the same boards . Or at least I think he did ( language barrier)

8500?

9000?

both have the same type astig amp boards and they are the older style.

I've just got Curt's last VIMs that he was throwing out, half of them has HFA1100, the one I bought from Barclay also have HFA, in fact I've seen more 9000 VIMs with HFA1100 than with CLC409. Also a friend of mine had/has late 94 M9000 that also had HFAs all over. FYI.

I think he is talking about the neck Boards. I have seen some with CLC 409's.

As you already discovered the M9000 already have the newer HDM and it seems it has the new style CVA+VDM boards too, those are nice. This rises the question actually what else was replaced in that machine?

I think that 8500 has been cannibalized. Press the * button on the remote while the PJ is one to see which PJ it is labeled as. That info is saved on the Back Plane board and not easily swapped out.

Yep looks like they took the good parts and replaced them with older parts.

I would take the best parts from either PJ and put them in the 8500 Chassis.

yes I see so well! there is what to consider when rebuilding from the old to new HDM?

that HDM from de M 9000 also works with the 8 "from the M8500?
so I can the 8500 first one week test without my old hdm breaks or over heat

Also I must first save before I can buy the new bellows ^^ or my wife kills me

I put it on the celling ... And make two adaptors Thats the Marquee fits on my Barco "Rails"

ok, didn't know if you were aware he had 2 machines. Funny, the 9000 has 8500 parts and the 8500 has 8000/9000 parts

color , tint, detail only work on composite video.

More than likely a control board problem. The one with the battery. Do you have an IEC Chip puller? The chips and duaghter-boards need ot be pulled and de-oxidized with a proper electronic cleaner.

You might not have the Stig waveform board on the CLM. There should be two board on the CLM, the DPB and the SWB.

If that board is not there then the Sig menu will not be accessible .

Take a picture of both CLM's especially the battery area, that will tell which Series CLM you have, either for the 8xxx/9xxx series or 85xx/95xx Series.

The larger battery is the older CLM.
