Hoi! ik denk dat je bedoelt dat je de randjes van het plaatje mist omdat die buiten het raster vallen?

Hi I think you mean the edges of the image are missing? The picture is larger than the raster area?

ók thanks,

is it really ok to do this won't i screw anything up?

and witch pattern is the best refrence:

-projected image
-gen lock pattern
-internal pattern

regards,

barco dude

Yes, it is safe. On each Barco projector, max. horiz. amplitude pot must be tweaked a bit when not enough width can be achieved with size maxed in geometry.
The best way is to test with a active source or at least a genlocked pattern, on the resolution you will watch movies ( 1080i in your case ).
I will send you a PM with instructions.

bla bla english sorry guys for are dutch communication here Embarassed

In Ducks Very Happy

In English:
The raster is the area on the tube with brightness high and contrast low. This should be on the tube face a few milimetes in.

is the raster that you see trough the tubes the same raster i project on screen with the genlock pattern?

I would not worry about the genlock pattern. I never use those. I allways use testpatterns from the source device.

Question Question Question Question nou ben ik in de war dus wat jij zegt is dat je een test patern van een device zoals bluray player of htpc projecteerd en dan kijk je in de tubes?

ik hep je trouwens een pm gestuurd

No, the tubes between the 701 and 708 are not compatible. if it's not a bad connection, then the 708 CRT socket/video amp is probably bad. I've got those for $20 USD plus shipping, which should be about $25 to you.

BTW, in all of the 70X series chassis I've serviced, and it's been at least 100 over the years, I have NEVER had to adjust the master H width pot on the power supply board. The internal test patterns should just hit the edge of the tube face, and with the H width in the menus at 100, should be slightly shooting over the tube face. The pix below is typical for a Barco at 50% width:

If you can do that with your set, and the image is too small, then you have front or back porch issues with your signal, which can be corrected by a scaler between your source and the projector.

and yes i had a scaler and had no problems with image width before, so maybe it's a issue but how bad is it?
can i still be able to watch a movie without blowing up mu pj? Crying or Very sad
and maybe it's my scheimpfug adjustment set to a wrong screen size? Embarassed

Can you read the instruction manual, or look at the stickers on top of the tube frame, that clearly indicates where the levers should be set for what screen size? That's the only adjustments you can do for Scheimpflug.

As for blowing up the set, you're more likely to do it by adjusting trimpots that you don't need to within the set. If the test pattern fills the width of the tube as I showed above, then you have a signal issue. Go into the scaler menus, and adjust the size adjustments.

i think i set it to the smallest size because i had 3 sizes and the middle setting is my cinema screen width, and i think i put it on setting 1, so to small. You think that's the problem why my raster doesn't go wide enough?

i tried some size adjustment and now i found that my raster can go wide enough only my picture ends up outside of my cinema screen so that meens i still can't go wide enough Confused

when i had a scaler i had no problems with it.
i think i'm gona blank the motherf%$r, and cut a little bit of my projected image

i give up Crying or Very sad

Lol that is funny. Usual there is a little written text on the board that says hé I am the bad connection! Not.

You can find it by inspecting a board but takes someone with experience in electronics.
