Years ago I had great intentions of building a projector and purchased 3 1208's. One did work and the other was only missing one board and all the tubes are toast. Also purchased 3- P16 tubes. Also have a 808 frame. Never had time and my knowledge is lacking in this department I found out. Now at the stage where I would like to have a projector. So is it worth attempting this still or should I get rid of it all and just by a projector? Appreciate your thoughts.

Are the P16 tubes new? Does the 1208 yes MEC or Sony tubes. Not sure if the MEC tubes are a direct replacement for the Sony tubes. If the 1208 uses MEC tubes and the P 16's are good put them in the working projector. These thingss have a great picture when setup correctly. Easy to work on and setup.

They have to be the correct P16s or youll have focus issues.

LOL, I guess it might be easier to just unload them and go digital. Unfortunately for you, the pjs aren't going to bring much if any money.

Definitely LOLs. Man, I thought I was a procrastinator.

What's sad is some of the stuff had some value back in the 2011 thread. Now? Not so much.

I don't know anything about those tubes just heard about they're used in the high end 8"ers. I guess that you will have a pretty good pj when you're finished.
Selling will not bring a penny these days i guess. There are so many people who can't get rid of stuff, especially 8" stuff.
It's sad, but it is as it is. Go on, have some fun, build a pj and tell your friends that you've build it yourself.
As far as i can help you, i will.

Ok, I've searched a bit and everthing i found was this: pinouts of the LNPs and so on. I saw you have LXVs in the other thread.
Those tubes look perfect, i'd make them shine again. Find out if any of the pjs you have used those tubes and search for a pinout.
Tell us, what tubes (exactly) were in your PJs (all of them).
What lenses do you want to use on them?

Its not the pinout causing the issues, its the lack of neck length in some cases leading to the focus coils being too far back down the necks and not able to do their job.

Ok, Case. In this case (harrharr) there must be another way. What about getting the right yokes?

We had a case here early this year where i diagnosed the incorrect P16 tubes, managed to get suitable focus by shortening the yoke bodies, but its not ideal.

Ok so here is what it all consists of.

3- 1208/2 chassis 51 one of theses functioned. One other worked but was short one board.

6- graphics 1208/2 tubes all burnt.

6- delta hd 8 lenses.

1- retro data 808 oem chassis. Mostly striped. If I remember correctly the 808 tunes were mounted in it.

3- retro data 808 oem tubes. One has the model number p16lxv03rja and had a bellows type lens. The other two just say retro data 808 oem and have liquid cooled lenses.

Thanks for any replies
