I agreed. I wasn't close with Cliffy, but that was exactly the feeling I had.

Ditto. Sitting here at the office, feeling listless and trying to understand what to think and feel.

I'm not going to go into details, but yes I spoke with Amy a while ago, it's sad. He was a trouble soul at times but he had a heart of gold. I will miss the late night talks, he was a good guy.

Amy will need help figuring out what to do with stuff. I told her I would help as much as I can but I'm in Kuwait for the next week or so. God I wish I could have a drink this is surreal.

Sad

I checked in on AVS for the first time in months and saw your post.

So sad.

This was Cliff's stack, circa 2007.

Cliff in the Hawaiian shirt, then Art, then me on the right side of the pic...

Wow. This is a shock. I didn't know him, but he seemed to be a very giving person as many have mentioned. RIP Cliffy.

That's more sad than I can say.
May his loved ones find real comfort and peace.

I'm waiting for more information from Amy. I have her Cell and E-Mail. She doesn't know how she is going to cover the funeral costs he didn't have insurance. But they probably would not have covered it anyway. I'm doing everything I can to leave Kuwait to try to help her.

Does Amy have a PayPal account? We could start a fund for the funeral cost. I'll pitch in $100.

Guys, this affected me big time today. I was making all sorts of stupid mistakes at work on an install today.
Based on what little I know... Which isn't much.. None of us could have stopped this. This was more than a get together or a call or a visit. Best case it might have delayed it a bit.
This is so sad....😓

For those that have asked here is Amy Bermingham's PayPal address albermingham@hotmail.com . The family is trying to figure out how to cover the cost of the funereal, Cliff was completely broke in the end.

When the details on the service are made available I'll post them here.
