WELCOME TO THE MACHINE! Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar.
You're gonna go far, fly high,
You're never gonna die,
You're gonna make it if you try;
They're gonna love you.

Did he have a family other than his wife?

A beautiful family. Makes this sad ordeal even sadder.

I followed Phil's lead... if anyone else is looking for a way to help, even though it's too late to help Cliff, please consider the paypal account listed earlier. Cliff's family is even more devastated than we are. If we can help relieve even just a little pain from the expense of the funeral on top of their pain from Cliff's death, please consider sending a contribution to Amy.

Cliff and I would always stay up waaaaaay too late. Amy would come down around 2am and tell us to turn it down. Cliff would turn it down for about 5 minutes and then turn it back up. Then Amy would come back down at 3am and scream twice as loud. We stayed up until sunrise several times.

But it would eventually catch up with Cliff the next day...

Most of you might recognize Cliff's face in this picture from his AVS avatar.

Here's the rest of the photo... He's showing off his new wedding band Wink

Yeah, but I'm really pissed at him too. Heartbroken and sad. A lot of us evidently were aware that he was struggling emotionally and financially for several years. So I feel a little guilty about not reaching out a little more often and a little more effectively.

It's a fine line between fond memories, sympathy for the pain he was in, and heartbroken frustration at the mess he left behind.

Nothing we could have done would have changed this outcome. He was the type of person who had to be in control. Always new what he wanted and went and got it. When he had his mind set he'd do it, accomplish it and make no apologies about it. He told me once he would control how he died and was at peace with it. I believe he wanted his family back as Craig and I discussed last night. He couldn't live with the fact that he failed to accomplish that but he would accomplished ending his life on his terms. Selfish act yes, but as giving and good hearted as Cliff was he did have that selfishness when it came to what he wanted, I think those who knew him have all experienced it . he wouldn't let you say no , but that was part of his appeal. He got you to do things you otherwise would not do on your own. He made life more interesting, at least for me he did.

I am pissed at him too, when he told me in july he was going to use his 22 to end his life i tried to talk him out of it but he said, don't worry about it bro, I'm at peace with it and with Jesus, were cool man. He soon after called me and told me to come get his Stack any records and stuff I wanted. I told him no and told him If I do i know what your going to do. And I want no part of it. He laughed and told me its going to happen no matter what some day.

I at first felt guilty for not telling anyone except for Justin. I was hoping it go away. He asked to stay with me for a couple weeks and I of said sure, but he never got back to me so I thought he was doing better.

I guess not.......

Nashou

Nash and I were talking about this today and we really feel bad for his kids. I don't care if someone wants to kill themselves, but this is going to be devastating for his kids.

Curt,
I tried calling you today, but apparently I can't call Canada. I'll see if google voice will allow me.[/b]
