New problem since last week, there is a flicker in brightness when I turn on the projector from cold. Both input signal and generated menues are affected. I will try to capture a video of it. I would say all three tubes but I'll get back in that regard.
At the same time, H size has started to drift quite a lot. Normal geometry and convergence drifts perhaps a few percent from cold to hot but H size I need to adjust from 71 down to 52 to keep the width. This wasn't the case a few weeks after I replaced the H board.
Once the projector is hot there are no problems.
The problems came at the same time. Same or two different problems? Suggestions?

Hi,
After warmup (when the problems have ceased), You could try freeze spray (I use Freeze 75 from this brand: http://www.kontaktchemie.com/KOC/KOCdefault.csp). Spraying onto hotter parts in the SMPS, the H board and maybe the Video switcher/driver boards could reveal the location of the problem...

It can really only be the SMPS or H output board. I've never seen H size drift before though, so I can't narrow it down any more than that.

Examine the boards close up, check the solder joints

It might be the HV splitter. Taking a guess here though.

I would not freeze the HV splitter. Good chance it will bite you.
