Thank you so much, I'll follow your advice and buy a scaler. I found a DVDO VP20. According to the manual it's possible to convert a hdmi input to get rid of shifting / frequency issues and hdcp.

Guess the routing solution will be:
PS 3 HDMI -> VP20 (scaling, correction, image shifting etc.) -> HD Fury VGA (powered for cable distance)-> VGA to RGBHV -> 808s

The VP-20 arrived today and I figured out that 1080i50 is working out of the box, 1080i60 needs some twisting but it does work too. My problem is solved now! No more overscan and perfect image centering Smile Thank you very much!
