I am tweaking in my speakers tonite for various reasons. I am going to re set my "reference level" . I usually watch movies alone and I prefer a pretty high volume level but not over the top all the time. I had it set up around 88 decibels and was pushing about 180 watts per channel into 7 channels( at 88 decibels) not counting the subs. I just wondered what others ran theirs at.

Thank you, Is that the level you set it at or is it the level your AVR uses ? I guess what I am asking is where did you come up with that number ? Is it just one of those unwritten rules ? Thanks again.

So my Integra should run pink noise @ 85 DB. It doesn't. I make many adjustments to get it to (now 82). I like it around there for listening alone, its too much with people in the room though. Thanks for the help !
