Lenses installed. Now the real fun begins. I used the CRT setup video to go through my PJ. I did OK but feel like it could be better. But overall I'm really happy with the added clarity and brightness. It perked the ole girl up a bit for not much money at all. Consider doing it if you can get a new set of tubes at a good price. It makes a worthwhile difference.

I retubed a torched 1272 back in the day when I first got into CRT. I had a 1271, 1252, and 1272 all at the same time. The 1252 had totally torched blue tube, and pretty rough green. I think it even had a little burn on the red tube. I think it was a control room projector, IIRC. I think I paid $100 or so for that machine, back when similar machines with nice tubes were $500 give or take. I think I paid another $150 or so for another set of tubes, then sold the machine for about what I had in it, including tubes and gas to go get it. Fun times. Probably 2005, I think.

Just curious... If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to pay for three NIB 07MPs and where did you get them? If you don't mind me asking, that is. Just curious. I'm amazed any even still exist.

Cheers,
SC

So you got some tube swapping experience as well, eh? Nice!
I got the tubes from Curt for $140 shipped. The only reason I found out about the tubes was I had just got a working video board from him and he mentioned that he had the tube set. He convinced me that I could make the swap. Glad he did.

Best

That's a great deal if you have a projector you're happy with and just want to give it a new lease on life. Thumbs Up
