I've got my 8500lc up and running and enjoying some 1080 5.1. Thanks to all for the help!

Having said that I've got 2 BG808s' in good working order with decent tube wear so I'm putting one in the master bedroom, I've got the mount up and ready but I figured since it's a vaulted ceiling and I don't want to take it back down anytime soon I would swap the tubes with a set of new VDC's.

The new tubes are 180DVB22

The old tubes are R7626572K and from what I can tell from a sticker pealing off they're Sony tubes.

Any problems with this swap?

Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated. Smile

I've got one old tube out of the chassis already and it only took a few minutes so I'm hoping to have it up and running today.

The cross reference spread sheet doesn't have any cross reference for tubes. Sad

Looking @ them side by side the pin out's are different for the neck boards, I'll check the other 808 and see what tubes are in it.

TV/Projector: Barco BG809s

You can't swap those directly. The BG808s came with Sony tubes and the other tubes you mention are Panasonic. The RGB amps in the 808s are in two parts with the socket section removable. The 1209s series projector came with the same neck boards but with the socket section for MEC tubes. Do some homework about which tubes work with these 1209s sockets. The bottom line though its not a straight swap.

You can rewire the Sony sockets if you know what you are doing.

I ended up installing a no wear set of used sony tubes I had so the 180DVB22's are listed for sale.
