Dear all,

up to now I was just reading in this valuable forum.

I am running a Barco 909 fed by HD Fury III - Lumagen XS already since years. In the last time I am facing two problems:

1st) Depending on the source signal the Barco fails to sync on some resolution the Lumagen is outputting. The RGB driver sees the signal green LED, but on the Vertical Board the Coincidence Failure LED is on and no picture. I already exchanged the vertical and SMPS, no change so far.

2nd) All of a sudden I noticed that focus became very bad on the right side of the screen. Using the focus menu the slider are in this area were always in the area of over 90, but results up to now were always good.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Jörg

There are many variables for the first problem, but I'd run the HDMI source right into the Fury first, bypassing the Lumagen to see if the signal is solid.

2) your focus board is bad. very common problem on the 909s, but I can fix the board for you. email me at curtpalme@shaw.ca

thanks!

Thanks Curt,

I doubt for the first problem, that it's depending on the lumagen. As I said, some resolutions even with very high bandwith (like 190 MHz) are not a problem at all 1080p or 817p. Other Bandwith about 168 MHZ are the problem....

Display says no "Source not available" and the red coincidence LED on Vertical Board is on.

Regards Joerg

Yes, that red light means it's not seeing any sync. I don't run anything that high, so Ican't assist further on that..

Try runnung a computer at those resolutions and see if it will sync when plugged in to RGB.
