Try to see if you can find where that arc came from. Doing the adjustment would not of caused it.

it did not come from doing the adjustment, it came from me accidently touching something when the meter probe slipped.

Ahhhh, been there. Get out that file and put a nice sharp point on those probes. Almost never slip then.

okay mac, i am trying to go over this circuit for bad parts before placing an order so that i can order just once. R483 is reading 115 ohm in circuit, R458 is reading open while all the rest of the resistors in this circuit location are reading dead on 100 ohm. should i be looking at other parts that would cause R458 to read open or just replace it? the same with R485, it is reading 2.3k ohm and all the other resistors in this circuit location are exactly 1.2k ohm. it is coming off the emitter of Q424 that is testing defective. should i remove it and test or should i be looking for what is causing the incorrect reading. I am going to order them either way, i just am trying to make 1 order .

Replace them. Anything that is reading off, replace. Also, since you are ordering, I would also order most of the caps in that circuit. Most look like very cheap price ones and sometimes it is easier to just replace them, then remove and test, especially the decoupling caps. That distortion has to still be considered,

It was near the bypass but not on it. I bought a lot of stuff there when I was down there.
