in the post where you listed all the pins as well as the picture of the ic there is a yellow line drawn to pin 12. i mistakenly thought that you wanted it checked too.

Oh. I had just used a previously altered picture. No problem.

Are these new numbers from the solder part of the board?
And do the pins up high not have these numbers?

no they are up closer to the ic and test the same at the ic or the board, the problem is my pin counting, not where i took the measurement.

Ok. So the only one that is off now is pin 85 with .8v
Disconnect CP404 again and retest pin 85

Remove the jumper wire on the power supply board.
Leaving CP404 disconnected do the error clear button sequence.
Then try turning on for normal startup.
If it shuts down again do the error check sequence and see if an error was set.

To be clear, what i mean is that the clear error process does clear the error count but overheat starts flashing at the end of the process and I go back and check the erow count and it has already set another one

We are going to have to skip ahead on this. I am still not convinced the cpu is the problem. I am not seeing any other protect lines but it does seem like it is going into protect. And with pin 85 going down to .8v when CP404 is connected clearly shows a problem on the amp board. So I think we need to solve the amp board problem and hopefully it will stop the error shutdown. There may be a protection I am not seeing.

First tests will be with the receiver unplugged and DMM on diode test. You are just checking to see if any 2 legs are shorted on these transistors. Just test across any legs looking for short.

Q417 and Q405

If no shorted legs then test the output transistors, Q404,Q410,Q416,Q422,Q428,Q434,Q440,Q446,Q452,Q458
