When putting my LC housings back together on my XG recently, i noticed that the flapping adjustment rings had really big dents in them caused by someone that thought it would be a really good idea to serverely over tighten them.
Not sure what can be done to correct this, as im not sure if the lens housing springs will hold the lenses up well enough if i loosen the screws, my red and blue come up ok, but green is rooted, my so on one side that the other.
Gábor, might be worth a look on yours mate

I found out that one of the flapping rings on my green tube is actualy broken. I set up them according to the supplied table for the then used 60" wide screen, and wasn't statisfied with the results, not even after some playing. Now the projector went up to the ceiling and the screen have grown to 80" (wide) now, but frankly I didn't even touched the flapping rings yet, it is already much better than earlier.

Yeah, mine is broken as well, but it may be really hard to see if there are big dents in the ramps on yours like mine have without pulling them out, but i would be reasonably sure theyre there.
Considering how perfect they are on every other NEC ive focused, they ALWAYS focus perfectly, i doubt there would be any more to it than damage from over tightening.
