I have a buddy, who has a BG808 non -s fitted with LC tubes from a retrographics, he is running on stock RGB boards. He wants to get rid of the common streaking problem. He has the "120MHz" neckboards and all the matching input and driver boards from the retrographics too, the only thing he doesn't have the firmware, so he can't run them in the machine, right now... Can someone selp us out with a firmware dump matching to those retro boards?

Generally it works, but throws I2C errors on screen, guess one of the boards is not recognised

Some firmwares need newer convergence driver board, right? This BG808 is a 1995 vintage.
Do you have the content of those firmwares or just in phisical way? We have no problem with programming the EPROM.

With the older convergence driver board, the projector will work the same but when you go to act on the incompatible adjustments the projector return an IC error.
I think that your friend has to change also the two boards rgb input and driver.

I2C error is from convergence board. Make sure the convergence tray connectors are clean and that there are no bent pins.

But he only gets these errors if he puts in the 120MHz neckboard with its matching RGB switcher and driver boards. Only swapping the neckboards introducing too much ringig, but no errors eventually. The machine works fine with the stock boards too. However we are not sure if the boards from the retographics are all flawlwess, but except from the random errors it throws they seems to be working otherwise.

Thats very old Firmware and RWI. The latest BG808s firmware is 7.61 and RWI is 5.10. I would suggest 7.61 Firmware and at least 5.09 RWI or Decibel has Cine 8 Firmware. No matter which of the two options you choose you may need more than one control board as not all control boards work with the later chips even though they have the same part number. I have a box full of control boards and had to go through several before I found one that would work correctly. If you find that the board won't work try an older RWI chip with what ever Firmware chip you use but not too old a couple of versions different doesn't seem to matter but it may make the board work.

He has about three spare control boards, all of them have an even older firmware and RWI though.
